Back at Newman Media, Adam comments that Billy seemed extra unhinged today. He’s disappointed that he won’t get the war he wants. He then asks Nick how Faith and Sh … how Faith is and thanks him for having his back (with Billy)
Still at the house, Kyle knows he’s asking a lot of Summer. Knowing how much they’ve been through, Jack says he’d be a fool to lose her now. He sees the pair as a package deal; ‘something special’.
We WILL discuss this later, Phyllis tells Summer (as Tara smirks) Phyllis then texts Nick – come by, it’s important. Tara then comes over to ask if the spa’s free (and prattle on about relocating to GC) Everyone’s so warm and welcoming; she’ll be working with Lauren. Living with the Abbott’s is going well; it’s the perfect place to start the next phase of her life. Phyllis looks nauseated.
Approaching Ashland, Billy tells Harrison that he lives at his brother’s house; a great place for frog hunting. After Harrison’s sent to pick out a treat, Billy warns Ashland that if he hurts or embarrasses Vikki ‘I’ll come after you – hard’. That sounds like a threat – what did I do to you? Ashland wonders. It’s what you did to Jabot, and screwing Vikki over (with Cyaxeres) You don’t want me as an enemy, Billy growls. Ashland doesn’t think Vikki needs Billy’s protection – she can handle herself. He’s off now to spend time with his son.
Nick’s now at TGP. It doesn’t seem to Phyllis that Summer wants to marry Kyle. Nick can’t say anything because then Summer will know her Mom betrayed her confidence. Something’s going on; none of it makes sense to either Phyllis or Nick.
A conflicted Summer looks in Society’s window. Seated at a table, Kyle sends her a text – he can’t wait to see her so they can talk.
Dropping by Vikki’s office, Billy’s spying is mentioned before he gives fair warning that her name will be included in ChanceCom’s article on the Locke’s divorce. People are curious. People? Or you? Vikki hints that there will soon be more news on her and Ashland. But, he won’t find out until she wants him to. You’re enjoying this, Billy can see. Vikki’s grin confirms he’s right.
Nick doesn’t understand why Summer would want to leave GC. Phyllis didn’t get a reason – maybe she’s intimidated by Tara? Or Kyle’s relationship with Harrison? Maybe she’s making things easier for Kyle? Phyllis’ instincts tell her that Tara’s nuts. It’s Summer’s choice to walk away – or maybe it isn’t.
Taking a seat across from Kyle, Summer declares she’s hungry and can’t remember what they were talking about this morning. Knowing she’s lying, Kyle implores her not to keep things from him – tell me.
