When Harrison gets sleepy, Kyle decides they’ll finish the story.
Tara’s surprised to hear about Kyle’s passion for hockey. She credits Jack with raising a good son. You held him close to your heart and never let go.
Reading the last few lines of the book, Kyle smiles at his sleeping son.
Jack credits his Father for the Abbott’s being so close-knit. You’re an extraordinary Dad and Kyle will be too, because of the example you set, Tara gushes. Smiling, they clink glasses and drink.
Summer’s been feeling the ground shifting under her feet ever since Tara brought Harrison to town. She can’t help but wonder where she fits in. She was having doubts about being a stepmother and co-parenting with Tara when this dream job fell into her lap. An emotional Summer just needed a soft place to land tonight ‘and clearly you can’t give that to me’.
You’ve lost your grip on reality- it’s pathetic, Adam sneers. You’re psychotic -you gaslighted me; lying that you were over Sharon. Drop the wounded act, Adam declares Chelsea out of her mind – you’re exactly where you should be. Rey’s there too (and sees Chelsea for who she really is) She’s all yours Detective Rosales, Adam exits.
At CL’s, Adam talks to Nick about Chelsea. He feels guilty; she’s suffering (and worries Connor will suffer too) Hearing that Chelsea’s angry because Adam won’t take Connor to see her, Nick suggests that helping Connor through this might exorcise his demons too.
Jack blathers on about how wonderful the Abbott family is. Tara’s looking forward to meeting everyone. She’d love to get a copy of Traci’s book (on the family) Jack’s grateful to have his grandson in his life. Tara’s happy that Harrison is part of the Abbott family. You are too, Jack schmoozes.
Phyllis is sorry for coming on strong – it’s who I am. Summer should take the job if it’s what she really wants. We’ll miss you but support you. Don’t make a decision you’ll one day regret. Knowing that Summer’s holding back, Phyllis also knows that one day she’ll tell her the whole story. I love you. Outside, she shakes her head.
Kyle comes down to hear that Jack’s been telling Tara stories about the family. Tara’s parents passed away; her Dad was a banker, her Mom an event planner. Summer calls – is now a good time? Can you come back to our suite? I don’t want to be alone right now. I’m on my way, Kyle ends the call. We’ll hold down the fort, Jack announces. Tara doesn’t look as thrilled.
Elena wants to believe Nate – but after all we’ve been through, how can I be sure you really want me? Nate loves the depths of Elena’s soul – you dazzle me. He saw something in her eyes today – was I wrong? No, you’re right. They’re soon kissing their way upstairs and into the apartment.
Chelsea’s nightmare continues. I’m not really crazy. I didn’t commit a crime – it was justice for what Adam did to me. Please tell me I’ll be released soon. You’re in the prison of your mind and will NEVER be free, Rey’s words shock Chelsea into awakeness.
For the record, Adam appreciates Nick’s advice – see you tomorrow.
In Nate’s arms, Elena grabs her phone to send an email that can’t wait (declining the job in Baltimore) She has everything she needs in GC; Memorial, the clinic – and Nate ~kiss~
Summer thanks Kyle for coming back. Yes, I’m OK, why wouldn’t I be? She’s feeling sentimental. Kyle will always be here for Summer – now and forever.
