Ashland has a simple request – keep my diagnosis private. He’ll tell Harrison when he’s ready. Kyle and Tara agree. I don’t want or need your pity, he leaves Tara ‘devastated’ and convinced (while Kyle’s suspicious and curious as to whether she wants to go through with the divorce or be there for Ash in the end)
At ChanceCom, Lily’s updated Billy. He’s not so sure Amanda will come back; she’s a great defense lawyer and he wishes his friend the best. When Billy confides that he’s done some digging into the Locke’s divorce, Lily reminds that they agreed to drop it for Kyle’s sake.
Nikki was relieved that Victor didn’t disparage a man interested in his daughter. Because his name’s not Billy Abbott, Vikki quips. Happy to see Vikki looking rested and happy, Nikki leaves her to take a call from Ashland. He has a cure for jetlag; lunch.
We need to talk, Imani pounces when Amanda arrives at TGP. Sutton’s furious that you betrayed him; left him high and dry. Odd, Naya claims he’s calmed down, Amanda’s sure their grandfather will land on his feet. Too bad that he doesn’t want me looking into my Father’s death.
Billy agreed not to break the story BUT part of it’s already out. How long before it’s public knowledge that Tara and Harrison are staying at the Abbott house? Lily worries about Billy’s personal connection but you’re right it’s news and we should cover it.
Ashland wouldn’t want me back, Tara points out the contempt in his eyes. She must focus on Harrison. Kyle will do whatever it takes to help them through it. Through what? Summer makes yet another timely appearance. Kyle and Tara look at each other, busted.
At Society, Vikki gives Ashland a pep talk; Harrison is and will always be your son. Time flies when you’re dying, his joke fails to make her laugh.
Back at TGP, Amanda doesn’t understand why Imani’s staying in GC. Imani no longer hates the idea of having a sister (and is impressed by her)
At the bar, Imani makes Amanda scoff when claiming that her childhood wasn’t idyllic either. She’d like to help her sister find the truth she seeks. Amanda can’t fully trust that Imani’s not just keeping tabs on her. You can’t see a sincere gesture! Imani stomps off mad. Still not convinced (and equally mad) Amanda goes upstairs. When Devon arrives, Imani pounces – I can’t imagine what you see in your rude girlfriend (and I hear her twin was the same) You don’t know me like that, Devon doesn’t need a stranger badmouthing his girlfriend or the wife she never met. Without apology, Imani gripes that Amanda won’t even acknowledge their connection; what family does she even have left!? she storms out.
Finding Nay upstairs, Amanda tells her Mother that she’s wasted a trip if she hopes of getting her back on the case. No, Naya’s here with a warning; you don’t want Sutton for an enemy. For your own well-being, you need to stick to this case. Seriously? Is that a threat? Amanda’s not intimidated.
At CL’s, Sally sends a text – urgent that we meet.
What’s going on? Summer asks. Kyle promised to help me relocate to GC, Tara lies. Yeah but that’s been going on for a while, Summer points out. After Tara reads Sally’s message and hurries out, Kyle confides in Summer that Ashland’s very sick.
Vikki brings Ashland back to her office. She’s not trying to pry but how does his prognosis affect his company? You don’t have a right hand to take over? No one trusts to take over after he’s gone; it’s a true dilemma. That’s why Vikki thinks he should seek treatment. Ashland would rather they not spend their time talking about him being sick. Vikki’d rather not talk anymore – she wants him to kiss her.
