Victor reminds Adam that Chelsea’s jealousy caused this mess. Kissing Sharon added to her delusions, Adam points out – he wants her to get well but it’s best we go our separate ways. He hopes Sharon and Rey work things out. Fine, Adam says what his Dad wants to hear – he’ll focus exclusively on Cyaxeres.
Feeling a twinge of pain, Faith assures Mariah and her Mom that she’s fine and ready to go home. After Mariah leaves, Nick arrives to pick up a deck of cards. Faith and Moses have been playing. Sharon thinks he’s a nice young man. Nick makes a face then marches out to the waiting room. Moses, I hear you’ve been playing games with my daughter. You should go home – Faith’s gonna need rest. Nikki gives Nick a troubled look.
Lola’s seen Rey go down this road before – feeling betrayed by someone he loves. Abby’s given her blessing and she’s left her recipes for her replacement chef; the customers won’t even know I’m not there. Rey wants his sister to stop worrying about him and follow her heart. You better come back or I’ll come looking for you, he warns.
Phyllis catches Kyle and Summer kissing by the elevator – Oh, I see the engagement’s still on. See you at the party, Kyle leaves. Phyllis shocks Summer by asking if this is what she really wants.
Summer assures her Mom that she has no insecurities where Kyle’s concerned. Sally arrives at TGP to watch as Phyllis gives her daughter an engagement gift; she’s regifting a necklace Jack gave her. Sumer’s touched. Sally stomps off.
Kyle’s with Jack and Mariah in the boardroom. He needs another ‘best person’ to become ordained to marry him and Summer. Mariah has to leave for a meeting – see you both at the party. Proud of Kyle for the way he handled the Locke’s coming to town, Jack gives Kyle the watch his Father gave him. I am the master of my fate, the captain of my soul, it’s inscribed. Kyle’s honored. Jack will tell the story behind the watch at the party tonight. When Sally arrives, he hurries out. Sally asks what they have planned for tonight. An engagement party – if you really want to keep the peace, stay away from Society, Kyle exits.
Now home, Faith sends her Dad off to Summer’s engagement party. And give Kyle a break. After Sharon goes to make some soup, Nikki drops by to fuss over Faith. She’s fine but concerned about what’s going on between her Mom and Rey – and how she’s supposed to feel about Adam. Sharon’s eavesdropping on what Nikki’s about to say about Adam when Rey calls – can we talk? Sharon looks like she’d rather eavesdrop.
Faith insists Sharon go meet Rey – see what he has to say. We’ll be fine, Nikki adds. Sharon tells Rey that she’s on her way and leaves looking like she’s heading off for a root canal.
At Society, Jack warns Phyllis that Sally showed up while he was talking to Kyle about tonight. Nick arrives to ask ‘where’s the happy couple’?
In their suite, Summer and Kyle show each other their new/old jewelry. How nice that everyone supports us ~kiss~
That’s what you wanted to hear – that I’m moving on without Sharon, Adam guesses correctly. Victor praises Adam’s bravery in saving Faith. If Adam had to give up a kidney, it’d be for her. There’s one thing you should know – he vows to turn Cyaxeres into an even bigger powerhouse to crush ChanceCom (and Billy) Music to Victor’s ears – cheers.
At CL’s, Sharon doesn’t mean to be blunt but let’s not drag this out – why did you want to see me in person? Rey has something important to tell her.
Jack’s thrilled that Kyle’s marrying Summer – he likes his in laws. Kyle and Summer arrive, sorry we’re late. Relax, Nikki and Victor aren’t there yet; neither are Traci and Ashley. All grab a glass as Jack toasts the happy couple. Oh no, Summer groans. Tara walks in holding Harrison’s hand. Well, isn’t this awkward.
