Rey knows Billy had some dark days – so, why didn’t he get revenge on Adam before? Chance thinks it a stretch to think that Adam’s framing Billy – and Victor wouldn’t risk hurting his own son. Who’s left?
When Phyllis enters Vikki’s office ranting, she’s recited a list of scandals that have plagued the hotel; a paper trail of inconvenience. The negligence clause is retroactive. Nick stands by silently. Vikki WILL get away with it – I already have – you have one week to vacate. Phyllis might jump over the desk to strangle Vikki. Go ahead – add assault to the list. After Phyllis marches out, Nick expresses his disappointment in his sister – he made the mistake of thinking she’d be kind and decent; a mistake he won’t make again.
Over drinks at Society, Phyllis is frustrated to find herself back at square one. Nick wants her to swallow her pride and accept his help financially. Phyllis reluctantly relents but vows to pay back every single penny.
Lily insists Billy stay in the lounge – let me do this for you. Thank you, Billy agrees. He then greets the newlyweds – hoping they enjoyed their honeymoon. He still wants to take them out to celebrate. Abby and Chance can’t just pretend Billy’s not charged with shooting Chance. You think I’m guilty too? he asks rhetorically.
Phyllis barges back into Vikki’s office to inform that TGP is valued at 5.2% over market price (despite all the calamities) She’s offering 35% over market price for full ownership – it’s a great deal – take it. Guessing Nick loaned her the money, Vikki agrees – but this is her victory, not Phyllis’ – you couldn’t pull this off without my brother.
At Society, Rey mentions his hunch on a case to Lola – then has her going that he’s never liked her shortbread cookies.
Back at TGP, Billy’s sure he’ll be acquitted by a jury of his peers but doesn’t appreciate his own family writing him off as an attempted killer.
Phyllis joins Nick at Society to say that Vikki accepted the offer. Why don’t you look happy? You saved your hotel? No, you saved it and Vikki loved throwing it on my face that I couldn’t do it alone. Nick knows Phyllis will pay him back – this is a win for you. She’s grateful but needs to be alone to come to terms with the fact that she’s a failure.
In her office, a troubled Vikki contemplates calling Nick but decides to dive into paperwork instead.
Abby and Chance decide to take a break from packing to have one more tryst in their suite at TGP.
Upstairs, Lily puts her ear to a door, knocks, then exhales nervously as she waits.
Next week. My main interest is Kyle’s career – how he worked his way up – what qualities you saw in him that allowed him to get so far at such a young age, besides being your son of course …. Summer tells Kyle that he needs to steer clear of Sally – she wants my job and will try to use you to get what she wants …. Did you see this witness? I sure did. Who is it? You’re never going to believe it.
