Delicious, you’re a natural, Lola sips Summer’s concoction. Both loved and were inspired by the movie Coyote Ugly. Hey, um – Summer’s sorry she and Kyle ended up at Society – it can’t be easy. Thanks for being so cool. Lola doesn’t always want to be the girl who’s ‘handling it well’. Summer hopes the bad feelings can be put behind them. Though Lola’s not there yet, Summer wants her to be happy. Suddenly, the boys start shouting and accusing one another of cheating. The ladies don’t look impressed when round two of arm wrestling commences.
As Victor and Adam get back to sparring about the company, Connor comes down with Chelsea (the tree falling outside woke him up) Victor gives him a pep talk and hug – go with your Mom (who takes Connor off for ice cream)
Assuming that Phyllis blackmailed Chelsea into selling her shares in the hotel, Abby guesses Chance is searching the suite for whatever she has on him and Adam. This device detects audio digital files, Chance gives it to Abby while he gets into Phyllis’ laptop. Are you worried she’ll be angry when she finds out? Abby asks. Yup – Chance is counting on it.
Back at Nick’s, Phyllis tidies up the plates – see? I’m not a slob. Are we OK? he asks. Yes – Phyllis is sorry about the kiss. We both know I have a weakness for you. She doesn’t respect or like many people – but she does Nick. You’re a great Father, a good man (and not just at sex) she tears up. You seduce me without even trying.
After round two of arm wrestling goes to Theo, Kyle complains that he used the table as leverage. Can someone pour him some ‘whine’? Theo jokes. You’re clearly superior to me – even though you’re the one with two ex wives in the room. Lola marches Theo into the kitchen. Why do I put up with you? Theo doesn’t know but please don’t stop. OK – our date, if I say yes, what’s the plan? she asks.
Aha! Abby finds a thumb-drive in a fake bottom of a drawer. Chance is still trying to hack his way into Phyllis’ laptop when Abby declares ‘when high tech doesn’t work go low’, she pours a bottle of water all over the laptop – oopsies. Phyllis will know someone broke in now so there’s no sense cleaning up after ourselves. But we can clean ourselves – you’re gonna want to take off those clothes, Abby leads the way into the bathroom.
Nick doesn’t know what to say. You don’t have to say anything, Phyllis wonders how two people who love each other so much can hurt each other so badly. I can’t get hurt again, Phyllis admits that she keeps people away to shield herself; I’m more wounded than people know. That makes sense, right? That makes sense, Nick agrees.
Theo’s not a plan-ahead, grand-gestures kinda guy. Good, Lola’s had enough of those. He then suggests they start with a movie at the old art house theater downtown. Lola’s not a kung fu fan but would like to see Nightmare At The Asylum. Next, Rammen at the noodle shop around the corner, then to the bakery for fresh macaroons. Then what? Lola asks. Theo would escort her home. Talk of kissing leads to a kiss that leaves Lola’s reeling. Kyle and Summer are probably wondering what’s going on in here, she escapes. Finding Kyle and Summer asleep in one another’s arms on the sofa, Lola tries not to look at them as she snuggles into Theo across the room.
Finding Victor alone in the living room, Chelsea makes a pitch for Adam running NE. Besides being qualified, he loves you; your approval means the world to him. Victor would like to give that to Adam (and is left to think it over)
Chance declares this shower with Abby the best mission he’s ever completed. They almost feel bad for Phyllis – almost ~kiss~
We’re on the same page, Nick says – friends, nothing more. That’s right, Phyllis agrees. It’s getting late, he adds. Phyllis is going to seep on the sofa – but as she goes by, Nick pulls her back for a passionate kiss.
