Tears in her eyes, Jill blathers on about Nikki’s first wedding ceremony with Victor (managing to mention that the powerfull man married a stripper) She then rails against Paul – he knows Vikki’s not a murderer. Surprised that Nikki’s not pissed off at Paul, Jill apologizes – and how’s Billy dealing with all this? When Billy appears to say he’s fine, Jill leads him off for a chat. Unable to handle any more condolences, Nikki and Vikki escape to the ladies room when Kevin and Chloe arrive to book a room (and blather on to the hostess about their sketchy past)
Declining a drink, Sharon demands Adam stop stalling and answer her question. Adam wants clarification on what exactly she’s offering. Sharon will pull him back from the cliff. Why? Because she hates to see Adam this way. Is it pity? Or are you trying to say that you still love me? he asks.
Billy reassures his Mom that he’s recovering. Jill’s hurt that he didn’t confide that he was struggling before entering rehab. Billy didn’t even tell Vikki about it – he’s on his way to a full recovery (and, in fact, just came from seeing his therapist) Vikki saved his life and Billy’s determined to make it work. I’m so proud of you, Jill gives him a hug.
Now in a room upstairs, Chloe calls down for a magnum of champagne – Chloe Mitchell, she yet again repeats the name she can now use in public. Everyone will know by the time we check out, Kevin’s amused – and turned on. Chloe Mitchell! he loudly summons the ‘sexy, crazy fool’ over to the bed for some kissing.
Seated at CL’s, Elena knows that Nate can’t discuss how he feels about losing his patient with Abby (because that patient was her Father) Nate would rather discuss something more positive – you and Devon. Elena sighs – Devon told her something that’s freaking her out.
Still at TGP, Devon updates Jill. Yes, he’s spoken to this ‘Hilary doppelganger’; told Ms Sinclair that he’s not buying her story about Kay’s will. He hopes to never see that woman’s face again.
Elena assumes Nate’s thinking the same thing she is – Devon’s seeing what he wants to see because he’s not over Hilary. No, it’s not in Devon’s head. Nate saw Amanda too – she could be Hilary’s twin. He didn’t want to upset Devon if the woman was just passing through town but if she’s here specifically to see him, someone’s playing a sick joke.
Back at TGP, Jill updates Devon that she hasn’t heard from Chance and is starting to worry. Devon’s starting to think Chance has something to hide. That’s not his style, Jill’s sure Chance isn’t involved. Someone likely hacked into his account and sent her the cryptic email. He wouldn’t send a Hilary lookalike to torment you – it’s not in his nature, Jill insists. Knowing Kay would want her to look out for Devon, she offers to handle Ms Sinclair.
Adam decides its time for Sharon to leave (because she won’t admit she loves him) What do you feel? he persists. Sharon can’t put it into words. Say what’s in your heart, Adam’s increasingly frustrated. As low and desperate as he is, Adam won’t accept anything less than ‘all’ of Sharon. Go and don’t come back, he repeats.
Cuddling in bed, Chloe and Kevin haven’t felt this relaxed in ages. Each appreciates the love and support of the other.
Abby greets Nate at TGP. She’s so relieved to talk to someone she doesn’t have to pretend with. Devon’s concerned about her and Elena’s concerned about Nate. Both hate lying to them, and everyone else. Nate’s OK with being ‘dragged into this’ – it’s his job to protect his patient (in this case protecting Victor from Adam) Abby kisses her ‘hero’.
Billy reports having a good session with his therapist. He’ll be Vikki’s rock as she’s been his ~kiss~ Observing from a few feet away, Jill asks Nikki about the funeral and smiles over at Billy and Vikki – makes you believe there’s still hope in this crazy world. Amen to that, Nikki agrees.
You’re making a mistake, Sharon concludes as Adam shows her out. Find someone else to rescue – oh, you already have – Vikki, Adam frowns. Sharon believes Adam’s asking her to give up her whole life. She can’t be at odds with everyone in her life. I guess we’re done, Adam just can’t be the man Sharon wants him to be. Are you really happy? Sharon asks. Adam came back to GC because he trusted Sharon but it looks like their relationship was always one-sided. Goodbye, he says firmly. After Sharon gets on the elevator, Adam closes the door.
