Phyllis is at Adam’s penthouse to tell him he looks like hell. She left her keys, she claims. But really, is desperate for company. She knows what it’s like to lose someone (even if they’re alive) I thought you could use a friend. Fine, stay – but only until I can find something better, Adam invites.
Still at CL’s, Rey’s on the phone – Ms Fuller wants full immunity before she’ll talk. Mike reluctantly agrees – let me know when you get a name. Rey suspects they’ll be paying Adam a visit. Returning to the patio, he tells Ms Fuller that it’s her lucky day. Confirming she won’t go to jail, she confesses to doubling and relabelling the medication. For who? Victor’s kid – Victoria Newman. Paul and Rey share a stunned/confused look.
With his Dad now in the CEO’s seat, Kyle’s happy they survived TGP opening and praises Summer’s work. You two make a good team, Jack agrees. How’s she handling Victor’s death? Jack’s not happy to hear that Kyle hasn’t reached out to Summer. Be the person she needs you to be; a good friend.
Agreeing that it’s important to make every moment count, Summer feels as if she’s finally getting to know Theo. Beneath the hip exterior, you have a heart. He’s disappointed when Kyle texts Summer – and certain he hasn’t gotten over her and never will. We’re just friends, Summer gives Theo a quick kiss and goes to see what Kyle wants. Whatever you say (Theo believes he’s right)
Nick’s not trying to shame Sharon but is sure Adam will use his Dad’s death to elicit sympathy from her. I know you – I know him. Adam will play the victim card and you’ll come to his rescue. He’s not grieving, he’s terrified the cops are on to him. Nick can’t let Adam hurt Sharon ever again. He won’t, I’ve moved on, she promises unconvincingly.
Preposterous! I’d never do anything to hurt my Father, Vikki protests when Paul and Rey drop by her house. The pharmacist is lying. Paul and Rey must follow all leads – we can wait for the warrant if you want. No need, Vikki has nothing to hide.
How did Chance find you? Devon asks. Amanda doesn’t see how that’s relevant. Portions of Kay’s last will didn’t reflect her true intentions. How does Chance know that? David Sherman told him. He made a deathbed confession that he changed Kay’s will. Why? He was paid to do so. By who?? Tucker McCall.
After a work out, Nick’s home to update Chelsea that Sharon claims she’ll stay away from Adam (which he’ll believe when he sees it) Chelsea had a good day at work but then Adam tracked her down. He wants to see Connor. I said no. But never mind that – she’d rather be in the moment with Nick.
When Summer rushes into Jabot with apologies, Kyle reassures her that everything’s fine. Jack’s back. He’s so sorry for her loss. Emotional, Summer gives Kyle an impulsive hug.
Are we done here? Vikki’s impatient. Paul and Rey still need to search Vikki’s office. Let’s go then – the sooner we get this over with the sooner you can catch the bastard who killed my Father; Adam.
Back at the penthouse, Adam thinks it all crazy – my Dad tried to kill me. I cooked up a plan for revenge. Now, he’s gone. If only I knew the danger of altering Dad’s medication. Phyllis hopes she won’t be busted for hacking into Nate’s tablet. What was your plan? Phyllis wonders what hell he was going to rain down on the Newman. How were you going to get the company? Did you set the plan in motion or did it come to a screeching halt and you have another hobby to occupy your time?
In Jack’s office, Summer mourns the loss of her beloved grandpa. She can’t talk to her Dad about this – and her Mom hated Victor. Kyle offers support. I’m here, always.
Nick appreciates the cold beer and massage – and whatever other surprises Chelsea has in store. But seriously, thanks for this. He knows she’s busy – but one more thing; I love you. I love you too, Chelsea replies ~kiss~
Jack takes a seat beside Phyllis at TGP.
Devon doesn’t believe any of this – you’re making accusations against my Father, trashing my grandmother’s legacy – and you look like you look. Where did Chance find you? The resemblance is uncanny. Amanda has no idea what Devon’s talking about. You’re a dead ringer for my deceased wife.
Amanda had no idea she resembled Devon’s deceased wife – clearly, this is not a good time. Contact me when you’d like to have a calm conversation about this. I’ll be staying at The Grand Phoenix, Ms Sinclair leaves Devon near tears.
No way in hell will Phyllis grieve for Victor Newman. Every time I saw his face, heard his name, I remembered what he did to me – what he did to us. Jack let go of that hurt a long time ago and thought Phyllis had moved on. Her tears indicate she didn’t – Victor casts a shadow over every life he touched.
Mike’s on the phone with Adam. Paul called as you predicted, asking for immunity. I granted it. That’s what Adam wanted to hear ~click~
Paul finds something in Vikki’s desk; a pill bottle with Victor’s name on it and a tablet labelled ‘Nate Hastings. Property of Genoa City Memorial Hospital’.
