Hey, how’s your day going? Sharon asks when Rey comes home. Just some family drama. I don’t know anything about that, Sharon jokes. Adam’s not your family, Rey’s clearly not amused. He’s the source of the drama in your life the last few months. Sharon just wants peace and stability. She only wanted to help Christian, not Adam. I told him not to file for custody. Echoing his Mom’s ‘actions speak louder than words’, Rey says – that’s what you told him but what did you DO? Nick’s right – Adam manipulates you. Bringing up Mia, Rey can’t help compare Sharon to his ex – both fell in love with two brothers. That’s not fair – I’m a different person, Sharon swears that Rey’s the only man she loves. Rey loves Sharon too – but she keeps drawing a line and Adam keeps crossing it. We can’t keep fooling ourselves here. Knowing how this will end, Rey doesn’t have the heart to go down this road. What does that mean? What are you saying? Sharon’s alarmed.
Vikki takes a guess at Phyllis’ game plan – transferring Dark Horse real estate assets to Summer Time Inc. Someone would have to be very creative to do that, Phyllis plays along. She also agrees that Adam’s distracted and not a good micro-manager. As Dark Horse CEO, you have the power to negotiate the sale of all Dark Horse assets, Vikki adds. Yes, if the price is right, Phyllis seems interested. It would be, Vikki assures. Phyllis would consider it on one condition.
At CL’s, a depressed Summer looks at a photo on her phone of her and her Mom.
Mom? Are you home? Carrying a bouquet of flowers, Lola asks what’s up with the luggage. Celeste’s decided that she’s worn out her welcome. Besides, Mia will need help with the baby. You’ll come back for the wedding? Lola hopes. Hinting that she won’t, a weepy Celeste hugs the daughter she loves so much – take care of yourself. Still holding the flowers, Lola’s left looking sad.
In Victor’s office, Chelsea worries – Adam’s angry – who knows how he’ll lash out next. All the more reason Connor should be here, Victor reasons. He’s safe, Chelsea doesn’t want her son in the crossfire (like Christian) She appreciates Victor’s concern but Connor won’t be coming to GC.
With one packed bag over his shoulder, Rey tosses his key down. He’ll text to arrange a time to get the rest of his things another day. Don’t go, Sharon implores. Rey can’t watch her do this to herself. He can’t save her if she’s not interested in saving herself. Sharon’s not in need of rescuing. Rey wishes he hadn’t let her come to Vegas. And that she’d refused to help Victor with Adam. We’re stronger together, Sharon gives Rey a kiss that he returns with gusto. But it’s not enough to change Rey’s mind. Pulling away, he grabs his bag and hurries out as Sharon continues to plead – I love you!
