Lola understands why Mom doesn’t worry much about Rey; you fix your own mistakes (like sending Mia packing) You’ll never get stuck in a relationship like that again. Arturo keeps making the same mistake over and over because he has no impulse control. Mom sees herself in you, Rey relays. But Kyle is not like Dad – even if things didn’t work out, Lola would still have her restaurant, her friends and family. Rey likens the end of a marriage to death; the end of dreams, plans; something inside of you is destroyed – you go on but it’s not the same. Mom protected you from that. If she’s overreacting over Kyle it’s because you’re her heart – and she can’t live through another heartbreak, kiddo.
At CL’s, Summer introduces herself to Mrs Rosales (who invites her to sit down) …. I didn’t catch the conversation because I lost signal for a minute or so due to a storm.
Phyllis approaches Chelsea, Vikki and Sharon at the park – I know I’m not your favourite person but Christian needs all the love and support he can get – I’d like to help. Like when you got that video for Adam, hacked into Dark Horse and helped him steal it from Nick? Says the woman who walked arm in arm into court with the man who’s trying to take Christian from Nick, Phyllis snaps back at Sharon. And Vikki’s the one who gave Adam the money to buy Dak Horse and fund the custody suit. When Chelsea chimes in to say that Phyllis only took the CEO job to punish Nick, Phyllis scoffs – you broke Nick’s heart and knocked Sharon unconscious. But somehow Chelsea’s part of the Scooby gang and I’m twisting in the wind. You two (Vikki and Sharon) deserve any con she pulls on you next. After Chelsea leaves, Phyllis asks Sharon how Rey felt about possibly helping raise Nick’s son. He knows Adam has you wrapped around his finger right? After Sharon leaves, Vikki has a question for Phyllis – what’s the deal with Summer Time Inc?
When Celeste returns to the apartment, Rey gets a chance to explain why he didn’t tell her about Lola’s surgery. He had a lot going on and was a wreck. He failed to protect his sister. And when Lola’s health improved? It seemed easier not to say anything. It’s because of Kyle that Lola didn’t die. Yes, but Celeste worries that Kyle isn’t over Summer. Realizing she can’t do anything about it, she’s going home to Miami. Stay, Rey implores – don’t run away. Celeste has sage advice – it’s not what you say, it’s what you do – actions always speak louder than words.
Victor’s in his office, arms folded and smirking. Why? I don’t know – because I lost signal again. Damn storm.
Still in the park, Phyllis claims to have no knowledge of Summer Time Inc. Drop the act, Vikki was told (by Billy) that Phyllis is working against Adam. Are you trying to make amends? Do you think I need to make amends? Phyllis is cagey. Yes, Vikki does – two men she loves once loved Phyllis, so there must be some good in you. Now, what’s going on with Summer Time Inc? You just accused me of siding with the man who’s trying to take Christian away from Nick, Phyllis reminds (then I lost signal – and I can’t read lips)
