Jack’s happy for Traci; it sounds like your publisher and editor are excited about your book. Traci knows her siblings would rather hear about her travelling companion. What happened in New York? She and Cane had a wonderful time but won’t jeopardize their friendship. Now, how was Paris? Jack has some news but wants to wait for Billy before sharing it.
Yes, Kevin can somewhat relate to Billy’s pain over losing Delia. Explain this then. Kevin thinks he can. Hold on a sec. He pulls off more wallpaper to reveal ‘Cordelia’. Some of the letters have been pulled off. It used to say Madame Cordelia. Do you want to talk? Kevin’s concerned. No, sorry to bother you, Billy leaves.
At home, Rey’s telling Sharon how sexy she is. She claims to be updating her resume but won’t let Rey see it just yet. Both are glad Vegas is behind them and agree that cutting ties with Adam was for the best ~kiss~ Left to ‘get back to it’, Sharon opens her laptop to read the article on the Newman brothers fighting for custody.
The Judge makes it clear that he’s not impressed with Nick OR Adam. And since neither has proven themselves fit to raise this child, he’s denying both of them custody.
For once, the Newman brothers agree on something. You can’t do this, Adam protests. It’s not fair to Christian, Nick adds. The Judge will revisit this matter in three months. There’s still time for both parties to participate in how this gets resolved – and it’s always preferable for a child to stay with family. If a guardian is deemed qualified, the Judge will sign off on it. If not, Christian will be placed in a foster home. What if we each have someone in mind? Adam asks. The Judge will consider both candidates – move quickly because I intend to. Furious, Nick and Adam march out.
As Kyle’s still offering to answer any questions Lola has, Celeste bursts into the restaurant – needing to talk to her daughter right now. Thanks to Theo, she knows about Kyle’s past and that Lola almost died. She knows everything except why she’d want to be married to this man.
Billy arrives to hug his sisters. And now for Jack’s news – when he was in Paris, he and Ashley did a lot of talking and decided they work best together. We’re going to merge Jabot with Abbott Exchange. One company; one family. Traci’s so happy. Billy doesn’t share their joy or join in on the family hug.
Billy frowns as Jack and Ashley rave about their win-win working relationship. We’ll be unbeatable together – and happy. Billy? How do you feel about it? Ashley asks. Last time we trusted you, you shredded the company – now that we’ve rebuilt it and profits are through the roof, you want back in. Ashley understands – I’ll be reaping the benefits of your hard work. But, you’ll also be reaping the benefits of my hard work. We’ll be at each other’s throats in no time, Billy knows. Traci and Jack watch from the sidelines as Ashley reminds Billy that this is what their Father would want. Whaddaya say? I dunno, Billy grunts and slams out the front door.
There was a lot going on – Lola didn’t want to worry her Mother. Theo shouldn’t have told you. Thank God he did – or I wouldn’t know what was going on in my own family. She’s not happy that Kyle married Summer and dumped Lola when she woke up from surgery. It was more complicated, Kyle says. Like your life in New York with Theo – using women? Like Summer? Why should I trust my daughter’s heart to you? Because I love her. And I love him. Lola will continue this discussion at the apartment (Kyle’s left behind)
Nick’s in Vikki’s office. His and Christian’s world has just blown up. I need your help. You might be the only one who can fix it.
Rey’s on the phone; he goes by Chance but his full name is Philip Chancellor IV. Let me know if you find anything. Hanging up, Rey answers the door. What do you want? Adam needs to speak to Sharon (who looks nervous)
