Traci hugs Jack – she’s so proud of him for creating this beautiful, living tribute to Neil’s legacy. Jack hopes to have the program up and running by the Fall. Mallory? She went to powder her nose, Traci’s also happy to see Jack socializing. She stammers when he asks about Cane. Jack doesn’t help matters by suggesting Cane must really regret letting Lily get away. He must have bruises from kicking himself.
Sharon and Adam exchange small talk at CL’s. How’s you’re night going? Terrible, Adam admits – thanks for asking.
Billy finds Vikki with her ‘hands full’ in Victor’s office. Hearing Dad saw the light and made her CEO, he offers a congratulatory hug. He’s genuinely pleased she got what she wanted but still worries about Adam. Neither believes he was at Delia’s grave to pay his respects. Vikki has a way to neutralize the threat. What are you waiting for? Billy wonders. Nothing.
You didn’t say whether the coffee was for here or to go. So, you made the choice for me, Adam looks at his to-go cup. Sharon’s fine with him coming in for coffee and hopes he didn’t move because of what she said. No, Dad evicted me, Adam then confesses that he stopped by Delia’s grave. He knows Billy didn’t need to see the heartless bastard who killed her. Sharon’s sorry for both their sakes. Things got ugly, Adam cuts himself off – I promised to keep you out of my drama. Sharon offers an ear if he needs to talk. But no, Adam thinks they both need a clean break (as much as he hates it) Good night, he leaves Sharon looking conflicted.
Seated at Society, Cane tells Traci about a musician he knew in Australia who drank to combat stage fright. Jack’s program would have been a Godsend. Perhaps Cane can help. Traci thinks that a good idea – you can help them rebuild their lives like you’re doing with your clients at work. Both look at the door – looks like Lily made it after all. Devon will be delighted, Cane pouts.
Devon hugs his sister, reintroduces Elena and mentions Cane’s there. When Jack takes Devon over to meet a donor, Traci asks Cane if he’d like to go say hello to Lily. No, let’s finish our drinks first, Cane looks unhappy.
At the bar, Devon praises Ana’s performance. Glad you approve, she announces that she’s staying late to help clean up. No, she doesn’t have to but needs the time to cool off (still angry that Devon’s having someone oversee her work) Did you forget what this night’s about? Devon reiterates that he doesn’t want to discuss it (and walks off)
What the hell are you doing here? Victor’s not happy to find Billy in his office (even though he’s there to give credit for doing the right thing) Victor doesn’t want or need Billy’s approval for naming Vikki as CEO instead of Adam.
Charlie and Mattie are going to love the plaque honouring Neil – but Lily worries about all Devon’s taking on (and recites a list) That said, she’s pleased to see Devon happy with Elena. When Jet comes over (with Ana) Lily asks where Nate is. Elena informs that there’s a bit of tension between him and Devon (who also doesn’t look pleased to hear that Nate sold Neil’s penthouse)
Little late (for a visit) don’t you think? Nick’s updated that Victor’s stepping back while in treatment and has named Vikki his replacement as CEO. Congratulations, Nick says without enthusiasm – you have everything you want. Not everything – Vikki needs a COO and feels Nick’s perfect for the job.
After Jack and Mallory leave, Traci goes to chat with Lily. Cane follows for an awkward chit chat about Jack’s new project on behalf of the Abbott Winters Foundation.
Elena’s taking Jet to the airport. See you at home later? Yes, Devon gives her a kiss.
