Nate thinks Adam’s doing well – no sign of infection. You can go as soon as the paperwork’s done. He’s written some prescriptions – contact me with any questions or concerns. Having important things to attend to, Adam can’t wait for someone to bring him clothes – can I borrow a set of scrubs?
In his borrowed scrubs, Adam comes home to pause at the spot of blood on the carpet. He then frowns at his bag of money and sends a text – out of hospital – arrest made – cops suspicious but have nothing to go on. Now what? comes the reply. Plans have changed – coming back to Vegas. Thanks for everything. This is goodbye.
Strolling through the park, Cane and Traci discuss Dina; the woman she was and now is. We have to find a good facility for her, Traci’s emotional and sorry she’s rambling on. She’d rather hear about Cane’s day. I made a difference, he believes. Traci’s not surprised. She knew he could do something meaningful with his life. Cane has a long way to go – he’s nowhere near the person Traci is. One of the kindest people he knows – always strong for everyone else. Taking her hand, Cane declares her a remarkable person. Traci’s fantasy of Cane kissing her comes to a screeching halt – I have to go, she runs off in tears. See you soon, Cane’s left puzzled.
In pain, Adam again looks at the bloodstained carpet – then exits the tackhouse.
Dave’s back at CL’s to update Cane that he got the job – thanks to his great coaching.
Jack’s suspicious when Traci comes home all flustered – she didn’t think she should be away long. Jack spoke to Ashley – she’s flying home to be part of the process. How will we prepare Mother for this? We can’t predict her reaction. A new environment will be disconcerting to her. Jack will let the doctor know they’re putting Mother in a facility and ask how best to handle that. In the background, Dina looks terrified.
Adam slips into Victor’s office. Sorry Pop. I’m about to let you down, he says to Victor’s portrait before sending a text – I need to see you both asap.
Next: Nick and Vikki join forces to protect their family.
My Thoughts: NOW Dina’s family worry that she might hurt someone? Traci’s wrong – this is definitely NOT the first time Dina’s been aggressive. She stabbed Nikki with a butter knife then burned down Underground. Given her mental state, it’s odd that neither Paul or Jack considered that Dina might have attacked Lola. It’s a good thing Rey’s such an incompetent detective, If he knew what we know about Dina, he might have framed her to cover for Mia … Traci needs to stop writing this romance novel and start on a horror. Or how about using her skills to write her Mother’s memoirs. That was Dina’s plan once upon a time…. How close is the Abbott house to Chancellor Park? Did Traci walk there and jog back? …
