Lola gives Kyle a hug – what happens now? Kyle divorces Summer and starts a life with Lola – the way it should have been all along. Lola returns his kiss and will see him after work, promising she’ll never be too tired for whatever surprise Kyle’s planned for her.
In her Mom’s suite, Summer informs that she was right all along – Kyle’s divorcing me to be with Lola. She really thought they could make this work – our love could have lasted (unlike his ‘puppy love’ for Lola) When Phyllis encourages her to move on, Summer thinks she should fight for her man (isn’t that what YOU would do in my shoes?)
Yes, Phyllis has fought like hell for relationships but they ended anyway. Yes, it’s unfair but her advice is to make a clean break and don’t look back. Summer then tells her all about the job she’ll have to leave at Jabot. Phyllis doesn’t think Summer should give up her job – Jack can reassign Kyle. This position IS perfect for you, she agrees.
Rey returns to Sharon’s with good news and bad – he’ll be able to pay his rent but will have to take a short trip to Vegas. Funny, Sharon was planning a trip there too – this time we’ll get to sleep in the same hotel bed. When Rey expresses concern about involving her, Sharon assures that she can help (she knows Victor quite well) No, Rey isn’t being given a choice ~kiss~
Back in Victor’s office, Vikki’s concerned too. Her Dad won’t be happy about Nikki hiring Rey to investigate him. This is what he’s pushed me to, Nikki will keep Vikki updated. That’ll be hard – she and Billy are taking the kids camping. Hearing that he proposed, Nikki notes that Vikki’s not wearing a ring. Expressing her own regret over lost time with Victor, she encourages Vikki not to put her happiness on hold if she loves Billy.
A smiling Lola takes a seat on a bench at Chancellor Park to fondle her necklace – until Summer comes along to exchange small talk about Society’s opening night. She doesn’t blame Lola or Kyle for their bad decision – people click or they don’t. Kyle feels really bad about the way things turned out – we both appreciate what you did, Lola offers. Summer can’t say she’d do it again. Understanding, Lola heads back to work to prep for the dinner hour – take care of yourself, she says politely in parting.
At CL’s, Lauren’s surprised to hear that Billy’s backing Phyllis’ new venture; an online business that deals exclusively in accessories. How will you build your brand in a crowded market? Phyllis needs to do some more research before sharing her ideas. Mind if I join you? Mia appears to take Lauren’s vacated seat. Admiring her sunglasses (even if they are a knock-off) Phyllis declares Mia her target demo – women who want to look like a million dollars without breaking the bank. Yes, Mia’s interested – when do I start? She’d be happy to provide a list of where she shops for accessories – you won’t regret this!
