Vikki understands that Reed’s confused and angry. He wonders why she didn’t get custody when he was a kid – did you let me think he was dead as payback? No, Vikki couldn’t bring herself to tell Reed what happened in her bedroom that night. I wanted you to think him a good man. She saw JT yesterday and he takes full responsibility for what he did. Reed struggles with the fact that his Dad would let them go to prison for something they didn’t do. Vikki hopes that JT being treated for his illness will revert him to the Father he looked up to. I have to see him, Reed asserts that he is ready.
I screwed up royally, Arturo knows. Abby did too – by not seeing all the red flags, like him sleeping with her stepmother. You threw everything we had away by sleeping with Mia. She means nothing to me, Arturo claims. Abby thinks that insulting to all parties involved. Abby may have bad judgement in men but she’s not stupid. You proposed to me while Mia was renewing her vows to your BROTHER. You were looking at me but thinking of HER! Arturo insists Abby’s the only woman he wants. I give it a week before you’re back in Mia’s bed, Abby sounds done.
What Cane did is a private matter but he vows to fight for this family. Mattie’s supportive but Charlie knows Mom wouldn’t be doing this unless she thought it was for the best.
Are you sure you want to do this? Yes, Reed enters his Father’s hospital room. Don’t make it too long, Vikki orders before departing. Taking a seat, Reed doesn’t know what to say. JT does – he’s sorry and can never make up for the pain he caused everyone. You were sick Dad. JT’s not sure how much he can blame on the tumour. Reed tears up, seemingly overwhelmed by everything that’s happened. JT wouldn’t blame his son for not wanting anything to do with him but hopes they can reconnect; hang out and play guitar. Can’t wait. Neither can I, JT replies. Poking her head through the curtain, Vikki looks relieved.
JT thanks Vikki for bringing Reed to see him. She’s eager to put the past behind them. JT would like to but notes that Vikki doesn’t look so good. I’m fine, she claims. Reed protests as two cops come in to arrest JT for the attempted murder of Victor. JT calms Reed down – I have to account for what I’ve done.
Frustrated that he’s not able to talk to Lily, Cane’s summoned Mike over to ask if there’s a way for him to save his marriage.
Still at CL’s, Mariah and Tessa toast to their amazing future. Declaring her days of grifting are over, Tessa pledges not to be a ‘horrible’ person. And there’s no need to travel the world – she’s happy here in GC with Mariah and will work at Abby’s restaurant when Lola recovers. Mariah encourages her to return to her music. Do what makes you happy. Taking that advice, Tessa puts a song on the jukebox and stands Mariah up for a dance.
Abby WILL have a happy life – without Arturo. Oh, she talked to Nick earlier. You’re fired, she marches out leaving Arturo with all his flowers.
Reed will call Mike and fight this. No, JT will plead guilty to hurting his grandfather. You were sick – we’ll have Dr Nate testify – and you’ll testify, right Mom? JT feels he deserves to be punished. I was abusive. Stay srong, JT says as the cops wheel him out. Vikki’s left to feel the wrath of an angry Reed. No, he won’t come home – he’s done running home to Mommy (and runs out)
Mike can’t give Cane false hope – Lily’s ready to move on. Cane believes they can get past this. Lily obviously believes otherwise. Mike finally agrees to have a talk with his client – but he’s not making any promises.
