The kids occupied upstairs, Jack and Kerry chat about this and that. How’s your Mom? You haven’t mentioned her in a while, Kerry’s observation turns Jack’s smile upside down.
Nick said all the right things but Vikki still can’t help but worry. Nikki and Sharon remain positive – and glad they aren’t in prison. When the lights suddenly go out, Vikki’s further horrified to discover that the cell phone’s missing. The hammering sound the ladies hear outside is JT destroying it.
The cell phone has vanished and the landline is dead. It’s JT! He’s here and trying to scare us! Grab something to defend yourselves, Nikki orders. Oh yeah, she’s got something alright (a poker)
Always ‘on the side of justice’, Rey will let Chris know if he hears from the women. She’s sorry she doubted him – keep me posted. Now alone, Rey takes out his phone. You better be calling me, Nick marches in to growl. Rey hasn’t had a chance. Victor then storms in wagging his finger and spewing threats – if anything happens to his wife and daughter, Rey better pray! Hustled into a smaller room, Victor’s updated that the women are safe. Nick arranged the escape (with Rey’s help)
Back at Vikki’s, Billy fakes a phone call to Nick – the women are safe at the warehouse. He’ll call them to update that they’ll be moved to the airstrip within the hour. He then sends Nikki a text – done here, coming to the cabin. Ding dong. What the hell are you doing here? Billy lets Phyllis in. Yes, he knows the women escaped and doesn’t want her help. Just leave. Phyllis feels terrible – they could be in danger. Billy agrees – and it’s 100% on you.
In the dark, the ladies debate whether JT’s trying to lure them outside or keep them trapped in the cabin. Vikki marches outside to shout – JT! I know you’re out there. I stole a gun off the prison guard. We’re not afraid to protect ourselves, just like before. Hearing footsteps, Vikki decides they need to leave before JT figures out they don’t have a gun. Too late for that, JT greets them as they come back in. Hello ladies.
JT’s been watching the women since the night they tried to kill him. He’s enjoyed watching them squirm. Money really can buy anything huh Nikki? Even the cops. Let Mom and Sharon go, Vikki pleads – this is between us. Tossing over zip ties, JT barks – wrists and ankles! How are you even alive? Nikki sputters. JT pulls out a poker – guess you wish you swung a little bit harder.
The observant Phyllis notices that Billy was on his way out. What about the kids? They’re at Jack’s – Billy’s just going to the store. What’s really going on? Phyllis is suspicious. Leave – now, Billy orders.
After a brief discussion on whether Rey’s to be trusted, Victor grunts and growls about the women’s safety and orders Nick to call the cell phone right now.
