Phyllis panics – we need to know what Nikki said! I need to talk to Vikki and Sharon! We need to get our stories straight! Nick figures that if they were implicated, they’d have been arrested by now. You guys are probably OK. Phyllis is sorry but needs to talk to Sharon and Vikki. Do what you have to do, Nick’s left to sigh.
Kyle’s impressed by Jack’s gift for Kerry – a tennis bracelet; 5 karats? 7, but who’s counting. Kyle wishes he could buy Lola something expensive. Oh, and you’re writing a note too, Kyle sees. Come out with us, Jack invites. Kyle loves his Dad for making the effort but you’re making it worse – go have fun with the other happy couples (he’ll be taking video games and 6 pack to the cabin; a single man knows how to party down)
Back at the club, Mariah reminds Lola why she fell for Kyle; he’s worked hard to prove that he’s not just an obnoxious trust fund kid. He cares about YOU, not you naked. Lola’s frustrated that everyone’s so interested in her sex life (or lack thereof) especially Summer. Mariah doesn’t think Lola a freak for not having sex – but Kyle’s not a freaking for wanting it. The only person thinking about Summer is you (and Summer of course) Kyle’s playing by your rules – why isn’t that enough? It’s wonderful that Lola’s on the cusp of success but what good is it without someone to share it with? Kyle’s an amazing guy; miss out or step up, Mariah concludes.
Summer drops by the Abbott mansion claiming to miss Jack. Admiring the bracelet, she wonders what he has planned for Valentine’s Day? Dinner with Kerry and you? The couch and take out, Summer decides to hang around and wait for Kyle. You’ll be waiting a long time, Jack replies. Oh? Where did he go?
Rey comes home to find a trail of rose petals leading to the couch (where Mia’s posed herself clad in red satin) He’s brought some wine and magazines. You love me, Mia’s pleased. Yes, Rey does. And what do you want to do tonight? The GCAC and yes, Mia’s already bought tickets for the fancy event. Thinking that perfect, Rey doesn’t mind putting on a suit – because it means he’ll be taking these clothes off ~kiss~
At her place, Sharon (and Phyllis) complain about the lack of information. Vikki points out that both her Mother and Father have been arrested. Nikki confessed!? Mariah walks in. Vikki wasn’t able to get any info from Mike due to client/attorney privilege. Rey interrogated me again, she adds (trying to trip me up) Nikki likely didn’t mention us but Rey doesn’t believe her. Sharon stuck with her story too. Mom’s smart, Vikki knows she’d never implicate her own daughter (which doesn’t make Phyllis feel any better – we’re one step closer to this blowing up in our faces)
At the front door, Jack suggests Summer give Kyle some time. On the front step, she pulls out the Valentine’s card/invitation (to the cabin) that Kyle left behind at CL’s.
Kyle arrives at the cabin to see the table set for romance. The flowers are put aside before he takes a swig of the bottle of bubbly on ice.
As Rey pours wine, Mia gapes at a magazine she pulls from the bag he brought home. Is this what you thought I’d get a kick out of!? (Abby and Arturo are on the front cover; Newman Heiress engaged. As she flips to the photo spread, Rey chuckles. Mia’s aghast – her Father was just arrested for murder and Abby’s gushing about her engagement? Who does that? Arturo looks so sad (so fake and phony) Is he wearing eyeliner? Rey continues to make jokes.
Mariah worries about her Mom – and Tessa. Phyllis makes it clear she has no sympathy for the barista who blackmailed them. Sharon suggests that the police might believe Nikki’s story. But we don’t know her story, Phyllis hopes they aren’t implicated. Vikki reminds that her Mom’s in a cell (and has MS) Think about someone besides yourself for once. And when Phyllis vows not to go down for this, Mariah wonders what that means – you’d cut a deal for yourself? Let’s not find out what I’d do, Phyllis grabs her stuff and slams out.
After Mariah excuses herself to the kitchen, Sharon gives Vikki a supportive hug. She’s incredibly worried about her Mom’s fate. She might have to serve a life sentence because of me (while I do absolutely nothing)
