Dressed and wheeling her luggage out, Rebecca’s checking out but the deal is still on. She signs the contract and shakes Phyllis’ hand – you’re very fortunate, she eyes Nick once more and leaves Phyllis to apologize for using him. Nick’s OK with two women thinking he’s awesome tonight ~hug~
Lola joins Mariah at CL’s to discuss Kyle; he’s pushy and a little cocky. A little? Mariah jokes (but sees the attraction) He gets what’s important to me, Lola adds. They agree that a relationship must have trust and respect. Mariah then admits that she’s waiting for Tessa – to tell her that it’s over.
Tessa continues to snivel and deny the Newmans’ accusations – she didn’t move JT’s body or plant any evidence to frame Victor.
His call to Shawna over, Charlie tells his Dad that he doesn’t know how to do a long distance relationship. Worried that she’ll meet cooler guys in Colorado, he wants to go visit Shawna. Cane suggests they discuss it after the holidays. Now alone, Charlie frowns at his phone.
As Phyllis goes over the contract and regrets her decision, Nick jokes and wonders how she knew when to show up. As for how things transpired – it was like *poof* and Rebecca’s clothes were gone, he points out that he’s fully dressed. Bottom line, Nick and Phyllis are partners who will do anything for each other ~kiss~
I gave you the money and footage! Tessa denies doing anything else. I don’t know what to say! she cries. Sharon takes Nikki and Vikki outside – it’s clear to her that Tessa doesn’t know anything. Back in the car, Nikki and Vikki list everything Tessa’s done to the Newman family – and you know too much so it’s us vs you. You can’t do this, Sharon leans forward to protest (which convinces Tessa that she’s about to be killed) We had to be sure, Vikki now believes her.
Untie her and let her get home on her own, Vikki and Nikki instruct Sharon (who apologizes and tells Tessa to be warm and safe) After Tessa gets out of the car crying, Sharon scolds the Newmans. She’s lucky we aren’t actually killers, Vikki snarls. That’s EXACTLY what we are, Sharon corrects.
Lola’s optimistic that Mariah and Tessa can work things out. Mariah doubts it – how much hurt can you take before walking away? She stalked a guy once and has some near-misses but never anyone who touched her soul like Tessa. Suggesting they go for a drink, Lola doesn’t want to leave Mariah looking at her phone (but does anyway) As soon as Lola leaves, Mariah gets a call from a blubbering Tessa. I’m coming to get you! she hurries out.
Nick wants to take advantage of the free wine and suite Rebecca paid for but Phyllis needs to get the contract to the office. See you at home, Nick leaves.
Despite it being awkward for Billy, he confides in Jack that Phyllis isn’t serious with Nick. He’s confident that he and Phyllis aren’t done (which is reinforced when he gets a text from Phyllis wanting to see him)
