Vikki, Phyllis and Nikki have a hushed chat about Sharon – maybe her new friend Rey got her to confess. Nikki suggests they wait it out – as far as we know everything’s fine. Vikki hopes all is fine. For all our sakes, Phyllis adds.
Seated in a pew, Faith asks her Dad where Mom is – did something happen to her? Nick doesn’t know but is sure she’s coming. Faith’s near tears – why does our happiness never last? She just wants Mom to show up and marry her Dad. Me too, Nick hugs her.
Told that the wedding needs to begin soon, Jack thanks the Minister and will let him know when Sharon arrives. You mean IF she arrives, Victor appears to correct. You’d like to see your son’s happiness destroyed, Jack hopes Victor isn’t up to something.
Chatting with Mariah and Tessa, Noah’s puzzled as to why his parents hired Tessa. He then moves on to Dark Horse being a better fit than NE. It’s good to be involved in a project from the ground up. And how’s GC Buzz? Good, but Mariah misses Hilary. Noah’s further questioning of Tessa is interrupted by Summer (who wastes no time tattling that Mariah and Tessa are a couple) No, he didn’t know – thanks for taking care of that, Mariah then apologizes to Noah (who excuses himself – I just need a little time) Aside, Abby gives Arturo a brief recap of Nick being unlucky when it comes to weddings. She hates to see him hurt again ~hug~
Vikki supports Nick (who has no idea why everything’s falling apart) Sharon’s not answering her phone. She disappeared at her bachelorette party too. Nick hopes Sharon found a lost puppy at the side of the road. Vikki holds out hope that Sharon will arrive soon.
Sharon sure does know how to liven up a wedding, Billy comments to Phyllis. But rather than discuss Nick and Sharon’s wedding, he’d rather talk about THEM getting married. Billy wants an unpredictable life with Phyllis – we’ll fight – we’ll make up (and make out) Say ‘yes’, he persists. Caught off guard and needing a bit of time, Phyllis looks uneasy as Billy hugs her.
As Nikki refuses to leave with Victor, the minister tells Nick that he has to move onto the next ceremony. Declining Jack’s offer, Nick’s in the middle of his announcement when Mariah gets a text then starts barking orders. After Jack fetches the Minister and Nick and Noah are in position, Abby comes down the aisle followed by Summer, Vikki, Mariah, Faith and Christian. And here comes the bride (in white of course) to force a smile when joining Nick. Sharon then apologizes for being late.
The Minister speaks about Nick and Sharon looking forward to a future as man and wife then invites Nick to speak first. He knew Sharon was the one – we found our way back to each other. He still wakes up to pray that she loves him. We endured 90’s hair, you laughed at all my jokes – we share children and loss. Here we are – back where it all started. As Nick continues, Phyllis leans in to accept Billy’s proposal. Nick vows to be faithful – to cherish Sharon til the day he dies. Sharon hesitates and isn’t sure she can be as eloquent. She declares Nick her best friend, partner, lover, Father of her children. We’ve shared great joy and deep sorrow. I stand here before you today bursting with love and gratitude. Blah, blah blah. Ripping up the vows she wrote last night, Sharon wants to speak from her heart. All watching look worried.
Sharon was thinking about Nick’s proposal – he wanted to make her feel loved and special for the rest of her life – your one true love. I believed what you said – that things would be different this time – we learned from our mistakes. You said we could overcome anything if we’re honest with each other. But you aren’t honest. I wasn’t going to come today but I’m glad I did – to see the look on your face when I tell you I can’t marry you. Your sacred vows are a joke. You lied to me and everyone here. You can’t love, honour and cherish me while cheating with Phyllis. You and Nick? Billy hisses at Phyllis.
