What’s going on? Abby asks. Still hiding it I see – glaring at Arturo, Rey makes it clear that he’s not going anywhere, then introduces himself as Arturo’s older brother.
In tears and still reeling from her encounter with Summer, Phyllis makes a call – this is an emergency. I’ll make it worth your while.
Is now a good time? Nikki reappears in Vikki’s office. Sure – until she sees Nate. Nikki told him about Vikki’s relationship with JT; Nate is very discreet. This is my private information! How would you like it if I shared your dark secrets?
When Arturo asks Rey if he wants to take this outside, Abby stands to referee. Abby – that’s a pretty name – you must be my brother’s girlfriend? Rey’s cleaned up many of Arturo’s messes but was done with him a long time ago. Nick to meet you, Abby follows Arturo out.
Summer gripes – I’ve never been hit like that before. Kyle’s OK with losing the bet – take my car. If Billy would cheat on the woman he supposedly loves with her daughter how does Summer think things will go better for her? Billy’s gambling will bring him down. He’s a gladiator at the poker table, Summer blabs that he didn’t even break a sweat when losing Jaboat in a game. As Kyle mulls over the new ammo, Summer gets a ‘game changer’ text that excites her.
Abby’s brought Arturo back to the Abbott mansion for drinks and an explanation. He just wants to drop it and move on. Abby has eyes – what’s this thing with your brother? He’ll be gone soon, Arturo’s sure. Leaving to go meet Nick, he promises to call Abby every day ~ kiss ~ I miss you already. Abby’s left to look troubled.
Vikki’s perfectly healthy and doesn’t need a doctor or therapist. Nate offers a physical, techniques for sleep or just someone to listen. No thanks – I’m strong, Vikki refuses to be a victim and holds her office door open. Now alone, she huffs indignantly.
Still on the rooftop, Summer shows Kyle a text supposedly from Billy – his plans have changed; he isn’t going to Philly. Meet me onboard the boat. I need to see you tonight. I knew it – he wants me as much as I want him, Summer crows. Don’t do this, Kyle implores – please. Sorry dude, you lost the bet, Summer exits.
In Billy’s office, Phyllis closes a laptop (and ‘Billy’s’ message) See ya sweetie, enjoy your cruise, she mutters to herself.
Next Week: What’s going on with you and my daughter? Phyllis challenges Billy … Ashley – we have to wait; monitor the company’s finances in any direction Billy takes towards them. Why wait for Billy to mess up when we can make it happen? Kyle replies…What exactly are you doing here in GC? Sharon asks Rey. I’m here because of JT Hellstrom, he answers.
My Thoughts: Though sanctimonious, Summer is technically right – she’s never deliberately ran someone over in her car – but she did get behind the wheel after drinking and doing drugs and caused an accident that resulted in Chelsea miscarrying the baby she was carrying (by Adam) Let’s hope Jabout is silently released from it’s moring and drifts into the sea never to be seen again (with Summer onboard) That said, Phyllis is grapsing at straws by saying that Summer can’t pursue Billy because she works for him (A) she works for Fenmore’s and (B) every CEO has dated a subordinate, including Billy and Phyllis. In fact, Phyllis is working for the boss right now. And how horrible were the ‘optics’ when she dumped Jack for his brother? Who did Phyllis call for help? Did she need Ravi to crack into Billy’s email? Why would Ravi risk his job to help Phyllis? And is Ravi even still employed at Jabot? …. What happened to fiesty Nikki? Not only did she not blink when Victor assigned her to Dr Nate but now she wants Vikki to confide in a complete stranger who’s clearly stated that he’s not qualified to help – and without telling Vikki what information she’d shared with Nate. Maybe Vikki can call Sharon on the crisis line…. How old is Abby? She looked way too excited about her goofy goody bag. Arturo’s a contractor – going on contractor business. Does she really think he doesn’t have a flashlight in his tool box?
