Vikki, then Paul passes by Rey’s table. On the patio, Paul presses Vikki on why she hasn’t come to him to discuss JT.
You’re putting Billy in an impossible position – you work for the man. The optics are horrible. You hurt Jack by manipulating him. I hurt Jack? Summer chortles. At least Phyllis knew she was wrong (being with Billy while married to Jack) Summer then brings up Phyllis ‘jumping Nick’s bones’ and deliberately running someone over with her car. Shall I list more? Phyllis had no idea how much Summer hates her. How is this NOT about me!? Who ARE you right now!? Summer learned from the master herself. Having been cheated on, she believes this is the karma old women like Phyllis deserve. Slapping Summer across the face, Phyllis is almost as horrified.
Nick and I aren’t going on vacation, Arturo tells Abby that he’ll work out, watch movies and finish a novel he’s reading. Come with me. Abby appreciates the offer but has work to do – we’ll survive a few days apart – with help from video chat. When Rey comes over, Arturo tells him to walk away – now.
Nikki continues to describe Vikki’s instability. It sounds like post-traumatic stress to Nate. Nikki knows how serious that can be (Dylan) Nate’s seen it all before – it’s not good to ignore trauma (but still not his area of expertise) He recommends a psychiatrist he knows who can get Vikki to confide in him. In this case, that’s not the answer, Nikki says.
Kyle closes the blinds in Billy’s office and flips through folders on the desk. Calling Ashley, he asks what he should be looking for to prove misappropriated funds. Hanging up, he continues his search.
Summer’s leaving – she won’t tolerate being slapped. You gonna go cry on Billy’s shoulder? No – but Summer is going to see him tonight. You’ll be very, very sorry if you do this, Phyllis warns – and is left to cry in anger when Summer slams out with her luggage.
Nate can’t help because Vikki doesn’t want him involved. JT made her question her own judgment; put up walls. Nikki isn’t satisfied with Nate’s offer to refer Vikki to a good therapist. Find a way to help my daughter – however you can, she pleads.
Paul doesn’t want to make things worse for Vikki but he’s frustrated that they weren’t able to arrest JT when he came back to town. Yes, Vikki would love JT to be locked up but has no faith in the police dept. because they weren’t able to catch him despite a trail of credit card use.
At the rooftop bar, Summer updates Kyle that her Mom found her boarding pass and slapped her (which only motivates her more) My Mom crossed the line – there’s no going back.
