Charlie obediently relays what happened; the argument in the car – Mom turned her head to look at Hilary and ran a red light – then the truck…. Lily doesn’t know what to say – I’m so sorry, she tells Devon. Neil referees – it was an accident. When Devon demands to know why he wasn’t told the truth before, Cane admits it was because of him.
Both Devon and Lily are pissed that Cane didn’t tell them the truth. How could you do that to Shawna and Charlie? Devon asks. And me! Lily’s not happy that Cane tried to ‘protect’ her. Phyllis isn’t either – who protected Hilary from Lily?! How dare you keep the truth from Hilary as she was dying! After Jack leads Phyllis away, Cane explains that he kept the secret because he didn’t think Devon could forgive Lily. You’re right about that, Devon growls.
Before dessert, the ladies have a few things to say to Victor. Nikki, Vikki and then Summer acknowledge that he doesn’t always make things easy for them – but they all love and appreciate how much as he loves them. Victor’s more touched than words can say.

On the rooftop, Phyllis is fuming – Lily and Cane make her sick. Jack doesn’t think it a good idea to go back to Devon’s – come yell and scream in my suite downstairs. Phyllis appreciates Jack being there for her (when Billy wasn’t) She suspects he didn’t go back to the office. There’s only one way to find out – go to Jabot, Jack really hopes Phyllis finds him there.
Now alone, Devon stares at Hilary’s portrait. Lily has no words to express how sorry she is – it must have happened the way Shawna and Charlie said. We were arguing. I took my eyes off the road for one second. I didn’t see the light. Devon doesn’t believe that Lily’s only remembering now. You don’t think ….. Lily’s horrified. That you did it on purpose?
