Sitting Jack down, Ashley insists that John Abbott was his Father, just as he was hers. Dina then comes down with an old scrapbook. Are these pages from an old diary? Jack shows Kyle as he begins to read one (Dina’s distracted as she continues to show the book to Ashley)
On the patio, Mariah and Tessa have an awkward conversation about anger-sex (which might be Phyllis and Billy’s thing) This has been one of the best nights Mariah’s had in a long time. It feels like a first date, Tessa seems equally happy. Then is was a first date – it still is, Mariah’s delighted.
Nick didn’t want Sharon to find out like this but is glad she knows. Dad declared war when he brought up your past at the arbitration. He wonders why she isn’t happier that he beat Victor at his own game.
Jack reads a yellowed page; Who am I kidding? Philip is too good a man to betray his friend John. Just talking to him at the motel is enough for me, Dina had written in her journal. Philip was such a good listener, Dina’s sad to admit that it went no further (and that she can’t remember who Jack’s Father is) Seeming to accept that he may never know, Jack won’t force Dina’s memory ever again. Instead, he’ll focus on what they have ~hug~
Jill couldn’t protect Philip when he was alive but she will now. But with a hug for Billy, it’s time she got back to Colin.
All these weeks your sister was worried JT was on his way back to town, Sharon’s bewildered. Right now Vikki’s worried he and Victor are going to kill each other. Nick’s basically sorry, not sorry. Victor can only win if we let him. Things are in motion now that will ensure he never hurts us again. Everything’s changed because of what I did. Sharon agrees – she doesn’t even know who Nick is anymore.
My Thoughts: Wow. I did not see that coming. I was genuinely shocked when Nick removed his JT mask. I have to disagree that it was easy to pull off and a ‘cheap’ mask from a costume store. He must have been quite disappointed when Victor barely blinked though. And while I’m glad to see anyone pull the wool over Victor’s eyes, Sharon has a point; Vikki has been used as a pawn. Reed hasn’t even been considered (does he even know ‘his Dad’ was spotted on camera in GC?) Given Nikki’s sudden turn around and now complete devotion to Victor (again) it’s not likely she’ll forgive Nick anytime soon. Since her MS flare ups are supposedly triggered by stress, he could very well have caused her a serious decline in health. Back to Sharon, it wouldn’t make much sense for her to be all indignant on Vikki’s behalf. Plus, she’s no stranger to keeping secrets herself (and is still keeping a whopper from Nick) … Billy looked and acted like a child who’d just been caught doing something naughty by his Mother. Why would his fellow poker players be so quick to cash him out? They didn’t seem remotely interested in recouping their losses … I knew Jack being Philip’s son was just too easy. The possibility remains that he’s Victor’s brother (by Albert Miller) …. I actually feel sorry for Mariah. There’s little doubt that she’ll get her heart broken by Tessa (who seems to be up to something. It likely involves Tessa’s sister but it makes no sense that she wouldn’t confide in Mariah)
