Seated at the club, Phyllis tells her jittery daughter to chill and forget about work. Crap! Summer wonders if the fritters she ordered are cooked in peanut oil. When Phyllis goes to check with the cook, Summer sends Billy a quick text – how’s it going? Phyllis returns – no peanut oil. She too sends Billy a text. George comes along to ask if Summer’s playing tonight and mentions her friend. When Summer quickly sends George off, Phyllis wonders what kind of games he wants to play with her.
Mariah tells Phyllis that there’s a video game tournament upstairs. What game? Phyllis thinks it sounds like fun. We could take our dinner to go. Summer doesn’t want to have to compete for her Mom’s attention with a stupid video game. Just go, she gets huffy.
Nate insists Victor fill the prescription he’s given him and start physical therapy tomorrow. Following Victor to the elevator, Nate instructs Victor to get more sleep and less stress. Leaving her apartment, Hilary sees that Nate’s locked himself out of Neil’s. Refusing to help, she gets on the elevator – toodles.
Nick’s having his meeting on the rooftop when Victor appears to exchange a frosty look.
Sharon tries to convince Mariah that it’s likely Phyllis she heard; she sounds like De Niro after a few drinks. Mariah persists – she won’t judge Sharon and is on her side. Tell me the truth. Sharon sighs – yes, JT was upstairs that night.
Now home, Summer assures her Mom that she had fun – her tantrum about video games didn’t ruin the evening. Checking her phone, Phyllis worries that Billy hasn’t text her back. Going up to bed, Summer texts Billy – how’s it going? Phyllis grabs her purse and keys and leaves.
