Phyllis and Sharon are in Vikki’s office. Yes, Sharon’s sure she saw JT. Mom is too, Vikki now panics. Phyllis still believes there’s a rational explanation. Sharon’s positive it was JT, not one of the ranch security guards – and it tells her that JT’s coming after the four of them. When Nick comes in wanting to know what’s going on, Sharon blurts out – it’s about JT.
On the rooftop, Neil apologizes for being late. All smiles, Ashley’s pleased to be back at Jabot – Newman was exhausting. Jabot is where her heart is; her home. Jack appears to watch Ashley and Neil clink coffee mugs.
Happy to see one another at CL’s, Cane takes a seat with Nate. He wants to hear how he’s really doing. Not the sanitized version when he calls.
Sharon came by to tell Vikki what happened with JT last night and to see how she’s holding up. Phyllis is also there to offer Vikki support. Getting a text, she needs to get to work. Hang in there, she tells Vikki and exits. Nick’s there to tell Vikki that he’s added his own security team (to Victor’s) JT will pay for what he’s done to this family.
Nate’s doing better than last year (when Carolyn died) Boston behind him, he looks forward to making new memories in GC. Nate also looks forward to getting together with Cane and Lily but doesn’t want to be set up on a date, thanks.
Back at Jabot, Summer and Phyllis gripe about Ashley; she’s dismissive and condescending. Phyllis has a shipping problem for Summer to handle (the same shipping company that kept Billy out late the other night) Play hardball – tell them Jabot and Fenmore’s will go elsewhere. Phyllis is sure Billy will back her up.
Joining Ashley and Neil, Jack insists he’ll never go back to Jabot. Neil understands – everyone must follow their own path to decide where they belong. When Jack abruptly leaves, Neil and Ashley agree that he’s in pain and giving up on trying to prove he’s Philip’s son. Admitting that Billy wasn’t thrilled about her return to Jabot, Ashley assumes he’ll mess up – and she’ll pick up the pieces.
Per her Mom’s instructions, Summer called the shippers to give them grief for being late – they acted like I was nuts. Billy closes his door – the shipment wasn’t late; he used that excuse for Phyllis (to go play poker) On cue, Phyllis arrives and is updated that all is well – one late shipment isn’t a problem; it won’t be a pattern. Phyllis hopes not.
Hugging Vikki, Sharon whispers – this too shall pass. Nick suggests Vikki leave with them for some fresh air. No, Vikki has to guard the company against JT’s attacks. Vendors and suppliers are bailing. It’s worse than the public knows. Nick’s sorry to hear it but blames Victor for hiding the truth about his health. Now it’s affecting everyone else.
