Tuesday, July 3rd

The Ashby’s surprise the kids by giving them permission to go to a party their friends are hosting. Go – have fun (it seems they don’t mind being left alone to kiss)

Finding the reception area under construction, Billy and Phyllis grab the boat keys and head off to the marina. In a hard hat, Arturo gives the OK for the power to be shut off (trapping Billy and Phyllis in the elevator)

Now it’s Cane’s turn to tell Hilary’s viewers how proud he is to raise his kids here; they’ll shape the future. Hilary then airs one of her favorite clips of her absent co-host Mariah. Back in their lounge chairs, the Ashby’s discuss the kids going away to college – they’ll miss the mess and noise. Ester interrupts a kiss to rant about Mrs C doing back flips in her grave if Jack digs up Philip.

Arturo’s surprised that Abby walked all the way up Jabot’s stairs with an assortment of July 4th decorations and food for the whole crew.

No, Billy won’t give Phyllis a boost up to the elevator’s roof hatch and neither can get a cell signal. Worse, Billy gave everyone the weekend off. We could be stuck in here til Monday.

Tessa’s now in the hotseat to give an impassioned spiel on freedom – the ties that bond us are stronger than what divides us. Shoo-ed off to work, Tessa’s caught off guard by a mysterious text that reads only ‘xz’. No, it’s not the mayor, she runs off all perturbed.

Using their phones as flashlights, Phyllis digs items out of her bag – a blanket and champagne. She and Billy then discuss how much has changed since they used to sneak around having sex, sometimes in this very elevator (which they might as well do right now)

Arturo thanks Abby – her generosity means a lot but he’s not using her for her money. We’re from different social strattas but Abby sees them as equals and is delighted that he sees a future with her ~kiss~ Now Arturo needs to get some work done so he can try meet Abby for fireworks later.

Best birthday present ever, Billy tells Phyllis as they snuggle in the elevator, naked beneath the blanket. Hey fellas, he grins up at a gaggle of workers when the lights go on and the doors open. Happy Birthday to me.
