It’s an emotional day. Sharon and Nick both admit to speaking to Cassie; such an ‘old soul’. Nick has an idea – come with me.
Mariah asks Tessa if she’s free later for a bite to eat, maybe a movie. Kyle interrupts – I’m free and could use a distraction too. He’ll even spring for popcorn. Agreeing he can tag along, Tessa seems interested in Kyle.
Ashley’s about to leave when Billy and Phyllis come out straightening their clothes. You might want to adjust your skirt, Ashley sneers as Phyllis leaves. If you have time for fun and games with Phyllis, you have time for a serious conversation about business, Ashley walks into Billy’s office.
As Mariah, Kyle and Tessa debate which movie to go to, Mariah gets a text from Hilary that summons her away to work. When Kyle suggests he and Tessa go by themselves, Tessa declines and answers the phone (as Kyle admires her)
Retrieving his phone from under the sofa, Billy claims he’s been too busy to look at Ashley’s ideas for Jabot. In case you misplaced the hard drive, here’s a hard copy (she puts the large folder on his desk) Saying he’ll go over it at home tonight, Billy wastes no time putting Ashley’s summary in the trash.
At CL’s, Nick puts a song on the jukebox and asks Sharon to dance. Yes, this is why he asked her to close up early. Everything will be alright, Nick will keep following his heart. Yes, he’s going to accept Victor’s offer and go back to Newman. Over his shoulder (as they dance) Sharon looks worried.
