Dina politely wonders if Traci’s worked here for a long time. Yes, we’ve been in each other’s lives for a very long time, Traci holds it together as she goes to make some tea – then sobs to Ashley and Jack; I wish it lasted longer, but she knew me. One brief beautiful moment she knew who I was! Traci wasn’t sure she’d have that (a not so subtle warning to Jack)
Holding Sam, Lily’s so happy he’s with them – I love you and will be the best Mother I can be to you. Cane and the kids watch in awe and adoration.
If the procedure worked and Hilary’s pregnant, she hopes Devon won’t tell anyone that she was inseminated. Agreeing, Devon looks forward to celebrating Mother’s Day with Hilary and their baby next year.
Now home, Nick thanks Sharon for being so kind to his Mom – good thing she didn’t catch us making out. Mariah arrives with Sassafras for Nick and a gift for Sharon; a Superman-inspired T-shirt. I love you Mom, Mariah and Sharon hug.
Abby takes a seat with Kyle at CL’s to say that his Dad was way out of line today. Kyle swears he didn’t alter the movie; he wouldn’t do that to Dina or Abby (who suspects Victor was involved)
Jack and Dina are left alone for a private chat in which both apologise. Happy Mother’s Day Mom; both are in tears as they embrace.
Next week: In his office, Jack’s with Phyllis – Once I open this envelope everything could change, nothing will be as it was… Hilary and Devon dance in the office …. At Sharon’s, Nick and Phyllis look at the police scanner app on his phone – apparently JT Hellstrom’s cell is giving off a signal. That could be huge, Nick jumps up. Yeah, enormous, Phyllis looks ill.
My Thoughts: MTS must have pissed off someone in the wardrobe department; I can’t think of any other reason they’d air an incredibly unflattering shot of Nikki’s butt in her white pants (I can’t recall whether she was speaking to Kyle or Sharon; that’s how distracting it was!) …. Nikki didn’t need to walk in and catch Nick and Sharon in the act; Sharon’s hair is a dead giveaway … Oh the irony of Sharon drinking from a ‘Best Mom Ever’ mug. I wonder what my kids will get me – I’m stellar in comparison so it should be something better than a mug or T-shirt; I mean, I’ve never faked my own death and hidden for months or tried to flee the country with a fake passport in my daughter’s name or married their grandfather!! … Nikki’s got so many kills she forgot one; she shot Bobby Marsino’s brother when they were kids … Kyle’s clearly loyal to no one; if he were sincere in his quest to regain the trust of his family, he’d have fessed up before Abby confronted him – and he would have confirmed Abby’s suspicions that Victor was responsible for the edited movie. That said, when will Abby and Ashley confront Victor? He’s committed many worse crimes, but it’s when he’s wielding his power upon the weak and vulnerable that makes him so despicable; the mentally ill (Patty, Chloe) – his children (too much manipulation to list) – his grandchildren (going to see Faith the night before she came home from camp, playing God with Christian’s paternity, threatening to take Connor, ensuring Vikki lost custody of Reed to JT) Victor also prays on the sick; Nikki’s alcoholism, using Dina’s Alzheimer’s to target Jack… Abby and Ashley are so tough with Kyle and Jack but with a few hands-on-the-hip harsh words for Victor will forgive the unforgivable and continue to grovel for his approval at Newman Enterprises… Today’s highlight was Traci. The character is well written and perfectly portrayed by Beth Maitland.
