Billy’s at the Abbott house to pick up his helmet and jacket when Traci answers a video chat. Not recognizing Traci, Dina would like to speak to Ashley and Jack.
Devon likes all the ideas the ladies are providing. As Mariah and Tessa snicker, Hilary presents an idea for Devon’s music label based on Motown and branding (which means she should feature prominently) Devon wonders where Mariah and Tessa see themselves within the company. Tessa wants to be a singer/songwriter. Mariah’s good where she is. You have no goals? Hilary concludes. Tessa defends her friend – everyone likes Mariah and it’s easy to see why. I bet it is, Noah appears to comment.
As Jack and Ashley wrap up their chat, Dina again wonders who Traci is. I only have one daughter; Ashley, she insists. After Traci runs out in tears, Dina asks Jack and Ashley to stand closer. John would be so proud to see you working side by side.
On the CL’s patio, Phyllis tells Chelsea that the bogus website was selling legit clothes. It was an inside job. Clothes were being stolen in transit (which is Chelsea’s side) I have so many employees, Chelsea isn’t thrilled that Phyllis has a way to narrow it down.
Mariah joins Noah as he gets a drink from the bar. You and your ex, his ex, my ex – looks cozy, he’s not happy that he’s someone they’re avoiding. Tessa appears to say ‘that’s not it at all’.
In the dining room, Billy consoles Traci. Video chat over, Jack and Ashley also try to comfort their sister (who’s hurt that she’s the only one erased from her Mother’s memory) You’re the heart and soul of this family, Jack claims. You treat our family like it’s disposable! Traci’s upset that after all they’ve lost her siblings don’t give a damn. Go back to bickering like children! she storms out crying.
A lie detector test!? My staff are like family, Chelsea objects – it would be so insulting. Phyllis thinks they’d be reassured if she took the test first. They’d see through it, Chelsea refuses – who’d rob their own company? Let’s just move on.
Noah and Tessa are at the bar. He’s astonished that Tessa still thinks they have a chance. You used everyone in my family. You take from everyone you meet, he scoffs – you’re a user – embrace it. We’re done. Walk away, he snarls then orders another drink. Don’t do this here, Tessa warns. Devon comes over to echo her concerns.
Ashley’s sorry she and Jack are adding to Traci’s pain. Go lock yourselves in a room and don’t come out until you sort it out, Traci orders. In tears herself, Ashley can’t forgive Jack but doesn’t want him to feel alone. Hopefully he and Traci can turn to each other.
