Billy and JT support Cane’s trip to Paris (to be with Lily) The ‘shocking’ part? He’s leaving Billy in charge. After Billy goes to have Ester make celebratory omelets, Cane tells JT that he’d rather have put him in charge – keep an eye on that clown.
Seated outside the park cafe, Dina’s enjoying the fresh air. How about we take Jackie and the girls on our cruise? They squabble, a lot, Graham’s about to get rid of the brown paper bag when Nick appears to greet Dina. Do I know you? I’m a friend of Jack and Ashley’s, Nick’s then introduced to Graham; he’s in pharmaceuticals. Nick warns Graham to take good care of Dina. When she reaches for the brown bag (thinking it’s lunch) Graham quickly grabs it and tells Nick it’s medication. You better give it to her – there’ll be problems if Dina hurts anyone else in his family. Nice to finally meet you, Nick tells Dina to enjoy her day. We’re going home, Graham hustles Dina along (throwing the bron bag in the trash on their way)
At CL’s, Mariah finds Tessa struggling with writers’ block. Devon’s coming home soon and he’s expecting her to have a song ready. Try writing about something you care about. They then chuckle over some of the lyrics Tessa’s jotted down on crumpled up paper. I need inspiration, Tessa sighs. Don’t look at me, Mariah replies.
Still seated at the club, an amused Vikki tells Nikki that Katie asked Phyllis if she was her new grandmother. You should have seen the look on Phyllis’ face. Nikki’s glad that with the kids spending more time there, Vikki can focus on Reed. It’s best if you and JT present a united front. Vikki agrees – JT and I are in sync.
So, who is she? Billy pumps JT for dirt on who he was with last night. Who says it’s a woman? JT’s coy. OK, who is HE? Billy jokes.
Ashley’s on the patio when Graham calls – he doesn’t want to keep a sick woman away from her kids. Come to the club to see Dina. Ashley’s not buying it but will see him soon.
Tessa’s sorry if she upset Mariah. No, Mariah’s sorry she overreacted. Tessa misses bouncing ideas off her friend and praises a recent segment Mariah did on GC Buzz. You looked amazing. Oh no, Mariah must suddenly go pick up her dry cleaning or she’ll be doing the show naked. Imagine that. No, please – don’t imagine that, she stammers and runs out.
Cane smirks when he hears that Billy ran JT out with questions about his sexcapades. When the twins come in, Billy leaves Cane to tell them that they’ll be staying with Uncle Devon for a few days while he takes care of something. He’s going to Paris, after Mom, Mattie guesses (then quietly tells Charlie that it’s a mistake)
Graham’s pleased Ashley could come – he’s ordered room service and will go get Dina. Ashley – how wonderful to see you ~hug~ Dina mentions their cruise and asks if Graham’s boss will give him time off. Boss? Ashley’s puzzled. Yes, Graham’s a sales rep; pharmaceuticals, Dina claims proudly. As she’s looking at cruise info online, Graham explains that in Dina’s mind all the medications are part of his job. Dina then assumes Ashley’s with housekeeping – could you please get more towels? Giving Ashley a tip, Dina toddles off to her room. Graham daps at fake tears with a tissue and offers one to Ashley. I’m fine, you keep it (Ashley’s NOT buying his act)
At CL’s, Nikki’s not impressed when Nick tells her that Sharon’s moved a homeless family in; so unimpressed that she once again puts her coat on and heads off to go deal with matters.
Mariah’s home to whine to her Mom about messing up everything in her life. Everything sucks. Being an adult is hard. Sharon thinks it fantastic that Mariah took her advice and bought a journal; she recommends it for ‘the three c’s’; comfort, clarity, charting (your own course) Sharon has faith that Mariah’s going places.
