Charlie and Cane catch up. Charlie raves about his history teacher, who brings in his guitar to play historically relevant songs on Fridays. They continue to catch up, Charlie telling Cane how all Mattie cares about is Reed and school. He finds it weird that she doesn’t take the time to see her father.
Scott reminds Sharon he found that information out for her, not for Nick. It appears that all animosity is forgotten between the two
Nick continues his rant against Alco’s decision. Vikki lists the economic advantages of using the Chancellor Park space to create a condo building. Nick is more invested in the fact that many families in the community use this park as their backyard, and not everyone is as fortunate to have a big house and backyard like Vikki. Nick also learns that the proposal had already been sent in by the time Vikki returned to Newman. Nick remembers now why he walked away from Newman in the first place. Nick receives a phone call from his nanny saying Christian got hurt, so he has to leave.
Cane shows Charlie a photo of Sam and tells him Esther’s decorating his bedroom. Charlie says it’s not Sam’s fault, but he’s upset it’s their first Christmas that they won’t be spending with one another. You know what? On second thought, Charlie wants to spend Christmas with his father, and Sam. Cane’s skeptical that his mother will allow that, but Charlie affirms that he respects their choices, so they have to respect his.
Ashley and Dina continue to reminisce. The two laugh and their relationship seems restored. Dina knows what’s next for her and Ashley.. Pole dancing!
Nick meets up with Chelsea. According to Monique, the kids were all running around, acting crazy and Christian sprained his ankle. Nick turns to Chelsea, thankfully, “we can take our son home.”
Vikki comes to visit Christian, but gets sidetracked arguing with Nick again over the park. Vikki thinks Nick is over-personalizing the situation, but Nick argues that he is trying to maintain Katherine’s legacy, a crucial part of town. Chelsea looks like she’s itching to say something, but she stays out of it. Neither party changes their stance.
Mariah walks into a shirtless Scott, and Sharon wearing just his shirt. She asks herself “Is this what dying feels like?” Sharon tries to cover her tracks, but all Mariah wants to know is if Sharon is just afterglow happy or if she is solid. Sharon is sure that they are solid.
After checking up on the boys, Chelsea and Nick get back on the same page.
Ashley and Dina get back home. The two sit down and as they do, Dina forgets the entire day, and returns to her old state regarding Ashley. She claims she loathes ice skating, leaving Ashley heart broken.
