At the club, Mike’s ‘friendly’ warning to Cane is rejected. Vikki’s ‘grandstanding’? You barging into the home of the woman who fired you isn’t grandstanding??? Cane will go wherever he wants, to tell whoever he wants, to stay away from his daughter. Mike’s next warning is sterner; stay away from Vikki, her family, and her company or you’ll regret it.
In the stables, Nikki sits a pouty Faith down to hear about her new home. She knows the penthouse is different from the ranch. Faith doesn’t seem to have a problem with Chelsea and lets it slip that she knew her Dad had moved in with her before getting on the bus to come home. Sending Faith off to get an apple for her pony, Nikki wastes not time calling her summer camp.
Nick’s not happy that Noah’s willing to accept Victor’s help – there’s strings attached and he doesn’t play by the book. The book’s not working for us right now, we’re losing money, Noah points out. On cue, Victor walks in ‘like he owns the place’ – ‘what a surprise’. I’m here to see my grandson, Victor announces.
Lily admits that she made some bad decisions. She experimented with sex before she was ready and then ran away with a boy. She doesn’t want Mattie to fall into the same trap – bad things can happen even when your intentions were good. Mattie doesn’t think she should be locked up for mistakes her Mom made. How is that fair?
Mike reminds an unapologetic Cane that there’s a clause in his termination papers to stay away from the company offices. Vikki’s home is off limits too. Don’t push her buttons.
I have to stay away from Mattie because her Dad’s a jerk? Visibly stressed, Vikki’s sorry but it’s best for everyone’s sake – including Reed’s and Mattie’s.
Still in the stable on her phone, Nikki receives confirmation. Ah yes, I should have known it was Victor who visited Faith at camp.
Victor presents Noah with a liquor license for the Ann Arbour location. Nick supports Noah – if this is what he wants. It is appreciated, but it’s a one-time thing, Nick’s got it covered. Until the next time you need my help. Victor claims he’s never let his pride stand in the way of what’s good for his son.
Next: Pump the brakes just a moment, Phyllis interrupts Dina. She will betray you, Dina continues to warn Billy – just like she betrayed your brother … It never ends, Nikki tells Sharon (who immediately guesses ‘Victor’) … Faith cries to Victor – you lied to me Grandpa. How could you be so mean to him? You said you’d never lie to me.
