Vikki’s left to second guess herself and isn’t sure about Zack; he seems too ‘slick’. Teck guys are arrogant, Billy thinks Abby can handle him. When Phyllis appears, Vikki leaves Billy to say he’s too busy to go out for lunch. Phyllis relays Jack’s suspicions that Billy and Vikki have a spy upstairs. Is he right? Whose side are you on? Billy’s no longer amused.
Hilary’s in Jack’s office to toast to her promoting Jabot’s products on her show. This is going to be good for both of us, Jack clinks her glass. Hilary wants more; to do commercials for Jabot. When Jack wonders if she’s just trying to outdo Lily, Hilary grins knowingly – just like your trying to crush Billy is more than business.
Where’s my daughter? Cane barges into Reed’s house. How would I know? he lies. Cane spots Mattie’s headband and claims that his daughter’s no longer a good girl – thanks to you! What the hell are you doing in my house? Vikki returns home to ask.
Back at the club, Devon insists that Mariah’s the one he wants to be with. He takes this relationship just as seriously as she does. Those three words are hard to say because he’s been married and divorced. Devon just needs more time. Forget what Hilary said – we can fix this. There’s no one else, Mariah agrees with a kiss/hug (but doesn’t look convinced)
Tessa’s impressed by what Noah’s showing her online. Never mind what she wanted to talk to him about before – you’ve got too much going on.
On the patio, Zack’s sorry he almost messed things up at BnS. He didn’t do it intentionally. Abby’s won over – things will only get better for our app. And for us, Zack adds with a kiss.
Billy doesn’t want to go any further with this and is angry that Phyllis would accuse Vikki of hiring someone to spy on Jabot. You think she’s above getting her hands!? Phyllis is incredulous. You accuse Vikki, you accuse me, Billy excuses himself and leaves Phyllis alone to fume in Vikki’s office.
Cane’s sure Mattie was here with Reed (who’s sent off to school) Now alone, Vikki’s head rings before she throws Cane out of her house and pauses to rub her temple.
Next: This is Victor Newman, he doesn’t play by the book, Nick reminds his son. The book’s not working for us now, Noah replies… I don’t care who his Mother is. I care who’s pressuring our daughter. And you should care about that too, Cane lectures Lily … Vikki tells Reed that Cane’s going to make it impossible for him to ever see Mattie again.
My Thoughts: Good grief. I’ve only watched for 30 seconds and I’m already cringing. BnS supposedly leases a whole floor of Jabot’s building. Odd that woman are doing their faces in the CEO’s office – where there isn’t even a sink. What if someone had an allergic reaction? Not knowing anything about test market studies, I’d assume there’d be more participants in a ‘group’ – and that they’d give their opinions anonymously – and that the product’s creators would at least be standing behind two way glass instead of hovering proudly like two birds watching their eggling hatch…. Since we’re on the topic of cringing; I could have done without the 10 second (seemed that long – I’m not rewinding to time it) camera pan to Reed’s crotch as he fumbled with the belt of Mattie’s skirt (guess it’s a good think he’s not experienced enough to go the easy route, and that Mattie ties her belt in sailor knots) … Would it really matter that Reed’s in public school and Mattie goes to private? It’s not like Reed’s Mom couldn’t put him in private school – she’s obviously got more money than the Ashby family (who would apparently be destitute and on food stamps if it weren’t for Lily’s modeling gig) … How come Reed’s hair is all messed up and Mattie’s still looks like she came from the salon? I guess BnS’s men’s line doesn’t include anti-frizz stuff products … Why would Billy leave ‘the competition’ in BnS’s office alone? …
