Billy won’t be making thing worse for Kevin by going to Chloe’s funeral. Vikki’s glad to hear that Juliet doesn’t blame her. Getting a call from the hockey league, she walks into her office and closes the door when Billy tries to follow.
You two don’t look like a married couple with teenagers, Hilary thinks it nice to see that a marriage can last. That you can stay committed to each other. It’s not easy – things come along to tempt you. Lily assumes that Hilary’s taking a shot at her (cheating) – and has learned from her mistakes. Clip-clopping off, Hilary pauses to smirk.
Paul’s delighted when his brother, Father Todd, drops by the station. Sure Chloe was an admitted killer who committed suicide but how can he not do the service – they of all people know about mental illness (their sister Patty) Feeling guilty for not seeing the signs is hard to accept. Part of Kevin died with Chloe, Paul sadly states.
Alone at the church, Kevin looks at a framed photo atop Chloe’s casket as he flashes back to happy times.
Now at CL’s, Chelsea struggles with her feelings about Chloe – I should be at her funeral. Nick doesn’t think it a good idea.
Nick feels this day is for Chloe’s family and friends. Chelsea feels it’s important that she’s there – Kevin will understand. Nick disagrees and won’t go. He IS showing his respect by NOT going to the funeral of the woman who killed his brother.
Assured that Chloe’s at peace, Kevin tells Father Todd that he would indeed like to speak today. He then goes to see Bella – leaving Ester to find comfort in Father Todd’s psalm. When Gloria arrives to tell Ester that she’s sorry for her loss, Ester replies ‘spare me your sympathy, you hated Chloe’
Cane arrives (with Lily) as Billy’s pestering Vikki for details on her call with the hockey league. He needles Billy before all file into the conference room. The hockey league wants to get started on next season, Vikki announces. Billy’s pleased – Cane calls him Teflon; you screw up and still get rewarded.
