Back at the ranch, Tessa and Sharon chat over coffee. Sharon was overwhelmed by the Newman wealth at first too but Nikki and Victor both came from nothing – she respects them. Chuckling about Nikki’s stripping days before marrying ‘a rich dude’, Sharon warns Tessa never to get on Victor’s bad side.
As promised, Kendal leaves when Reed returns with coffee. Zoey perched in his lap, he doesn’t even notice his wallet’s gone.
Scott chides his Mom for trying to set him up. Phyllis is gorgeous but a bit too close to home. He may have met someone – but it’s too early to tell if it’ll go anywhere. After Scott leaves, Lauren’s left to wonder.
Paul returns with an envelope for Kevin and another one for Billy. No, he has no idea what the results are. Ripping into the envelopes, Billy and Kevin glare at one another.
After Ashley cutting off his blathering, Ravi explains what he has in common with Abby – parents with high expectations. Sure they’d like him to work at NASA but Ravi’s right where he wants to be.
Abby confides to Jack that she had Victor unwittingly sign papers approving her project. Jack’s impressed and says that Victor won’t know because he’s going to help Abby cover her tracks – on one condition; make me a partner. Abby thinks Victor might be more angry at that (than going behind his back)
Marching into Phyllis’ condo, Billy heads straight for the booze. I take it the results are in, Phyllis remarks.
Mike’s brought Kevin to his place. You both look shellshocked, Lauren comments (and is equally stunned to hear that Bella is Kevin’s daughter)
Tessa gushes over Reed’s new guitar – your Mom rocks. Yeah, at least she let me keep one cool present, he quips. He’s sure Tessa will be famous one day. The lesson about to begin, Reed gets a text from Kendal – she found my wallet at CL’s. I’ll have her bring it over.
Scott’s at CL’s because they have the best pastries in town. Join me? he invites Sharon. Now it’s time to share stories. Or Scott can just stand there all night and look into those eyes.
Phyllis and Billy absorb the news that Kevin is Bella’s Dad. Does Billy wish he was? Phyllis has to ask.
Ester’s on her way over with Bella. And Kevin’s in tears – I’m a single Father. What if I damage her like Tom damaged me? Mike reassures that won’t happen. You loved Bella long before knowing she was yours. After Lauren chimes in with her support, Mike hugs his nervous brother.
If Bella was his, Billy would do everything he could for her – but he can’t deny he’s relieved she’s not. Bella would have been a constant reminder of losing Delia. Kevin being Bella’s father is the best thing for her and me (he hugs Phyllis)
