When Adam refused to run Newman and joined the others in testifying against him, Victor wanted to teach him a lesson (by having Chloe released to help frame him for Constance’s murder) She double crossed me (by not coming forward with the evidence to clear Adam) Victor then broke Adam out and wanted to send him away with his wife and son. If Victor knew of Chloe’s plans, he’d have given his own life to save Adam’s. Nick lectures Victor – Adam’s dead, Chelsea’s a widow, Connor’s lost his Father. How can you live with what you’ve done?
Still at the office, Jack reads and approves Ashley’s presentation but wishes she’d informed him that she was taking their top IT guy to New York. Surprised to hear that Phyllis is responsible for Ravi’s new look, Jack doesn’t like Ashley making decisions behind his back. Ashley doesn’t like having reason to.
Victor decides there’s nothing left to say – your Mother’s waiting for me. Not so fast – I could have you arrested (again) Nick warns. Why do you hate me so much, son? Victor looks pained.
Vikki and Billy continue to enjoy their evening – even briefly discussing Travis and Phyllis (who Billy admits to missing sometimes) Vikki praises Billy for being so helpful (both at work and with the kids) She’s glad they’re where they are right now. As Billy takes her hand across the table, Vikki gets an urgent message from Nick and hurries off to the ranch.
At home, Nikki gets a text from Victor – he’s on his way home.
Vikki’s on her way over to the ranch, Nick informs – facing the cops would be easy compared to what you have to do. Yeah, Victor sighs in agreement and slowly walks out looking 10 years older than when he arrived.
Handing Jack a file, Phyllis ‘makes a face’ when asked to send copies to Gloria. She can’t understand why Jack …. never mind. Jack praises Phyllis’ work (and Ravi’s transformation – but denies that anything romantic will transpire between him and Ashley in New York)
Outside the office, Ravi and Ashley are waiting for the driver to take them to the airport. Ravi’s bought Ashley a neck cushion. Thoughtful – but the seats on this flight will be pretty comfortable. First class? No, Jabot’s private jet. Ravi can’t hide his excitement. He’s gonna love this trip. Ashley will too.
On the patio, Zoey convinces Reed to take out his guitar and play something. Unfortunately, there’s something wrong with it. When Zoey goes to get brownies, Kendall has something to say to Reed ….
Arriving at the ranch, Vikki hugs her Mom – what’s wrong? Victor plods in with Nick following to announce that Adam’s death wasn’t an accident – Chloe murdered him. There’s more, Victor chimes in as Nikki hugs him – but you need to hear it from me.
Kendall apologizes for laughing with Zoey and distracting Reed the night he performed open mic at Underground. She left and didn’t see him take the stage again. She has an early birthday present – sending his link to an Uncle who’s in the music biz. That’d be amazing, Reed thanks her. Returning, Zoey’s not happy to see Reed so excited about whatever Kendall just said.
Finally looking up from his computer to pay attention to Phyllis (who’s about to leave) Jack asks why she’s so invested in Ashley. Phyllis has a life of her own – she’s dating online (nothing serious) Join me for a drink at the club? she invites. Jack doesn’t think it a good idea. After Phyllis exits, Jack calls Ashley back in – he wants to know what’s really going on between her and Ravi.
