Still at the club, Phyllis and Lauren talk about updating Fenmore’s online presence and getting customers into the stores by building loyalty online. Phyllis will put together a detailed proposal. Jack comes along to make a proposition – not for Phyllis, for Lauren.
As they decorate the Christmas tree they’ve brought home, Billy updates Traci that Vikki broke off her engagement (but that doesn’t mean they’ll be getting back together) Traci points out that kids grow up so fast – she’s sad Johnny and Katie won’t open their gifts in front of both parents.
Now at home with her Mom, Vikki pouts about the kids wondering where Travis went. Nikki’s proud that Vikki didn’t let Travis use her as a doormat. Everything will be OK ~hug~ Don’t worry.
Ashley’s asked Victor to meet her at the park cafe to discuss Abby (who’ll spend the holidays getting over her divorce) Victor updates that Vikki’s wedding is off. They joke that the job of parenting never stops. When Ashley comments on Jabot being back on top, Victor knows that’s her doing, not Jack’s.
At the bar, Phyllis gripes to Mike (while Jack’s over there ‘propositioning’ Lauren) I didn’t appreciate what I had – you must do that, she tells Mike. Hang in there, Mike thanks her for solving his problem (and leaves) Meanwhile, Jack’s asking Lauren to be a patron co-host of the Foundation’s new year’s event (and add a Fenmore’s shopping spree to the silent auction) How much will that cost me? Lauren admits she’s not as ‘liquid’ as she’d like to be.
Victor shows Ashley a photo of Christian on his phone. She can’t help but feel sorry for Dylan and Sharon (as she knows what it’s like having a child taken away) Christian will have a lot of money and power – he can change the world, Victor claims (then takes one more jab at Jack before Ashley leaves chuckling)
Getting to the ornaments with their names on them, Billy tells Traci that he doesn’t have one – he came along too late for that tradition. Traci says this box is full of his family memories too.
You inherited an empire, it’s only right to give back, Jack talks Lauren into supporting the Foundation. After Jack leaves, Mike comes along to say they’re celebrating their anniversary tonight (since he’s not available tomorrow)
At the bar, Jack denies he hates Phyllis – he just doesn’t want to be married to her. Mike and Lauren worked through their issues, Phyllis points out. We’re not Mike and Lauren, Jack reminds that Phyllis left their wedding with Nick. Anyway – what’s going on with Lauren? Is everything alright at Fenmore’s? Phyllis has no idea.
Surprised to find the house so festive, Ashley’s told that Billy helped. Traci won’t rule out a Christmas miracle (peace between Jack and Billy) Both gasp as the tree lights are plugged in – and agree to accomplish what Dad would want.
Phyllis can tell that Jack’s plotting something. He’s just thinking about why Lauren hesitated in writing a check. No, he’s not thinking of poaching her business – Lauren’s a friend. Back to sniping at one another, Phyllis challenges Jack to get it over with – fire me.
Lead into a suite, Lauren’s finally allowed to open her eyes. He’s set up a blackjack table (flashback to Mike’s proposal at the Colonnade Room) He flips cards over that read Happy Anniversary. At the stroke of midnight (their official anniversary) Mike will have Lauren in his arms ~kiss~
