Escorted back to Brash n Sassy, Billy tells Vikki that Jack basically said he’s dead to him. Vikki does have to wonder why Billy went up there. He has his reasons. Vikki then tattles that Cane went making deals behind Lauren’s back. You’d have liked seeing Jill put Cane in his place. When Victor arrives, he and Billy go at it until Vikki drags her Dad out for lunch.

Now seated at the club, Victor assures Vikki that what GC Buzz reported was fake – another attack by Jack. Our books will pass any FBI or IRS investigation. Yes, but Vikki was CEO when Luca did a number on the oil division. There’s no way NE could turn things around that quickly. Watch me, Victor replies.

Handing Natalie a list of people he wants info on, Travis also wants to know about the ‘satellite players’ (anyone close to those on the list; people who owe money or have something against Victor) That’s a long list that’ll include people close to you too, Natalie warns – she’ll have it to him and Victor asap. Let’s just keep it between us, Travis instructs.

When Jill comes in wanting to discuss the next roll out with Billy, he says ‘talk to him’ (Cane) No, Jill wants to talk to Billy (who’s bad mood she blames on Vikki going out for lunch with Victor) No – Vikki’s with GC’s new golden boy – I’m the town pariah. As much as Billy would love to hear about Billy’s fall from grace, Cane has a distribution deal to go salvage. That leaves Billy to relay his conversation with Jack (which makes Jill proud – until she hears he’s only trying to protect Phyllis; whom he’ll always care about)

Back in Jack’s office, Phyllis hopes Billy won’t cause trouble for them. When she finds a file he’s been frantically looking for, Jack claims he doesn’t give a damn what Billy says or does. And he doesn’t need to punish Billy – he’ll self-destruct all on his own. A secretary then brings Jack some legal paperwork – but it’s not from Victor – it’s divorce papers.

Jill blasts Cane for making unilateral decisions on behalf of the TEAM. Cane’s sick of being a third wheel in Jill’s matchmaking project. Listing all he’s contributed, Cane ends with missing his kid’s play to close a deal he now has to renegotiate. He’s been delivering and will continue to deliver – bottom line. No – that is NOT the bottom line, Jill hisses.

As Vikki picks at her food, Victor shares his belief that Travis is keeping something to himself.

Mike feels that representing Victor is his penance. He crossed lines and learned a valuable lesson (one he hopes Phyllis learned too)

Good – they were able to expedite things, Jack wants to sign and get it over with. Signing his name, Jack reminds that was the deal. Hesitating, Phyllis signs too (and is asked to give the papers to Jack’s assistant) Putting them on the desk in the hallway, Phyllis runs to her office to toss things about and weep.

Jill knew when she took Cane from Fenmore’s that he was hard working – but he can’t run things on his own. Delegate work to your capable partners and spend more time with your family. Cane feels he’s the only one committed to the company. Jill doesn’t want him to burn out – learn to strike a balance. Cane feels he is.

Back at the club, Mike gets a text from Phyllis – she and Jack signed – the divorce is final. Jack must have used his connections to speed it along. Lauren wishes they’d worked things out (as they did) It’s sad. Mike agrees – but a divorce and impossible odds won’t make Phyllis give up on Jack.
