When Vikki arrives, she and Billy start to bicker but put on fake smiles as the interview’s about to start.
Phyllis is thankful that Jack doesn’t put other people at risk like Victor does – but if he WAS hatching a scheme against Victor, she sure wouldn’t tell him. Victor leaves when Summer arrives. She asks what that was about and isn’t so sure Victor’s paranoid about Jack being out for revenge.
Back at the office, Jack reads a list of NE’s board members and makes a call with someone one it – it’s been a long time, let’s catch up.
On the ride home, Victor tells Nikki that he’s going back to the office. She thinks he’s blowing the threat Jack poses out of proportion. He threatened me, Victor reminds. You want him to pick a fight, Nikki sniffs. You’re both itching for a battle. Victor’s response is a chuckle.
Summer relays Jack’s explanation to Phyllis (who thinks it plausible that he was wrapping up loose ends from last year’s merger) There’s nothing to worry about, she promises.
Over drinks, Travis tells Jill most of the story – it feels good to have the secret out. As he stands to leave, Jill suddenly realizes why Vikki’s attracted to Travis; you’re a pale imitation of Billy (a comparison that worries Travis)
On camera, Hilary leads Vikki to talk about her creating BnS. Billy interrupts to talk about the NEW Brash n Sassy. As Cane chimes in, Hilary goes back to Vikki – how is it working with your ex-husband? As Vikki and Cane talk about respect, Billy disagrees – BnS doesn’t just stand to Brash n Sassy. He then cuts Hilary off – he owned Restless Style, he knows how this works. After Hilary tries to get the interview back on track, Billy storms out.
Jack suggest he and Curtis reconnect over a game of tennis – doesn’t matter that he’s on the NE board. No, I understand ~click~ Jack flashes back to Phyllis telling him that Victor is the one coming between them. About to walk in, Phyllis hides when Jack smashes his pen on his desk in frustration.
Victor makes a call to put his team on high alert. Nikki arrives to warn Victor not to turn his grief into a war. He does NOT agree that Jack’s a ‘good man’. You have no proof he’s coming after you! Angry that Victor won’t listen to reason, Nikki storms out. Hearing someone come in, Victor assumes it’s Nikki. I don’t want to fight, he says. What would you rather do? Jill purrs.
Hilary assures Cane and Vikki that the interview’s only about BnS – let’s give it another shot. With only the two of them left, Hilary continues to ask Vikki about working with her ex. She speaks about losing trust; once it’s gone it never comes back.
Billy and Travis find themselves at Hank’s bar. Damn. Yup, damn. There’s only one way to settle this, Travis says.
