Mariah warns Sharon that her paranoia will lead to a self-fulfilling prophecy – YOU’RE the one who’ll lead Dylan to the truth. When Ben shows up with an envelope, Sharon invites him in. After Mariah quickly escapes, Sharon guesses he’s there regarding Adam’s death.
Sorry for spooking Jack with the look on his face, Billy assures that Phyllis isn’t planning anything against Victor. Jack’s glad his brother and wife are close. Gotta get to work, Billy bolts. Jack then scowls at Phyllis – I know what’s been going on. But not here – come on….. Phyllis follows him out.
In Paul’s office, Dylan insists on investigating Victor’s role in Adam’s death. Paul warns him – look what happened to Jack and Phyllis etc. And what will Nikki think? Dylan wants to protect his Mom. You’re a cop – don’t make it personal, Paul insists. I’m doing my job! Dylan shouts. Sorry – but he loves his son. So does Paul – he doesn’t want to see Dylan end up like Adam. Vowing not to give up, Dylan marches out.
At the estate, Jill reminds Billy that she’s his boss – you’re going to Seattle. Like hell, Billy knows Jill’s agenda. Yes, it’s not a hidden agenda. Billy then lets it be known that he’s aware of her blackmailing Phyllis for weeks.
At the park, Jack explains that he had a sudden realization when talking to Billy. I’ve been asking you to feel something you don’t – stop pretending.
Abby chats with Summer at CL’s – and is upset to hear that she saw Luca. Handing her tissue, Summer wonders why Abby’s crying. Ben and I are fine, Abby lies – OK, she can’t complain to Summer…. After sleeping with my late husband? Summer will give Abby a pass today – what’s going on? Ben and I are dealing, it’s not about love, Abby explains. Now Ben wants to talk – he probably doesn’t want to go on like this anymore – and neither do I.
If you want to be a good friend to my husband, don’t help Dylan go after Victor, Sharon implores. Dylan overhears and interrupts – if there’s a problem, talk to me not my best friend.
Sharon has tried talking to Dylan – she thought Ben might have better luck. She’s shocked to hear that the results are about Adam’s DNA matching the results the cops findings. Eyeing Sharon, Dylan wonders if Ben even had the test done. OK – he’s sorry – it’s nice to know I can count on my friend. As a friend, Ben tells Dylan to back off. Now alone with Sharon, Dylan would like to know he can count on his wife too.
At CL’s, Abby confides in Summer – the miscarriage changed the way she feels about Ben. The emptiness hasn’t gone away – she can’t recapture that newlywed feeling and can’t pretend everything’s normal. Maybe that’s what Ben wants to talk about. How does she tell him?
Still at the park, Jack can’t believe he didn’t give Phyllis the love and support she deserves. He’s glad she found that in his brother.
Billy doesn’t need Jill to say that words to know that she’s been blackmailing Phyllis. Even Collin’s trying to cash in. Stay the hell out of my personal life!
This isn’t Jill’s fault – Billy’s the one having an affair with his brother’s wife. Phyllis wanted to be with a friend who understands and supporter her.
