Dr Gates tells Victor that his recovery is heading in the right direction, and so are me and my Father. Victor’s pleased to hear that their meeting went well. Dr Gates owes Victor for that. Victor hopes he can reconcile with his family too. Putting her hand over Victor’s, Dr Gates smiles – that day’ll come sooner than you think.
At the penthouse, Chelsea tells Adam that she visited Victor (who’s rocking the double denim by the way) I told him we’d put a stop to his plan. But it feels like he’s always one step ahead of us. Not this time, Adam gloats – Victor’s so busy playing his hand, he doesn’t realize I’ve got an ace up my sleeve.
Now dressed, Phyllis is ashamed – I can’t believe I’ve done this to Jack. He’s been so good to me – and I’ve slept with his brother. Doesn’t this bother you? Billy thinks it’s only because of Jack that this didn’t happen sooner. We both wanted this. This is a mistake, it didn’t happen, Phyllis insists this is goodbye.
Nothing could have kept Devon and Hilary apart (not even hurting Neil) Nearly dying put her life in perspective. Hilary refuses to look back – the view is pretty good. Jack’s happy for her – what about Devon? Is he onboard with this full steam ahead attitude? When Devon arrives, Jack thanks Hilary and leaves. Devon’s sorry about the altercation with Lily (but she’s going to keep our secret) He also wonders if Hilary’s just out to save herself.
Lily tells Cane that Hilary will do anything – she’ll use this to try control every one of us.
Judge Gates visits Victor. I understand you’re the reason my daughter reached out to me. Yes, Victor encouraged her. Judge Gates makes it clear that befriending Meredith won’t help him. She spoke her truth, just as your son did. What son? Victor asks.
Adam tells Chelsea how the meeting with Judge Gates happened – it was sufficiently awkward. The name Adam Newman didn’t raise alarms? How did the Judge react to you accusing Victor of using his daughter to get a pardon? Judge Gates won’t fall for it – Victor can kiss his reduced sentence goodbye, Adam’s confident.

Lily hates being under Hilary’s thumb – she doesn’t love Devon, she’s using him. Once she has what she wants, she’ll move on to the next victim.
