Phyllis isn’t happy to find Natalie on a park bench with Kevin (inviting him on her safari) Natalie didn’t feel the need to answer Phyllis’ call – our work is done. Nope, it’s undone. The program is vulnerable – Jack’s identity has been stolen. Maybe he has a doppelganger, Natalie jokes. Kevin says they’ll get started; Natalie refuses.
Adam’s not paranoid in thinking Victor’s made a connection with someone who can help free him. And he’s sure Dr Gates rushed right back to relay the unwelcome she got. You’re planning a jailbreak. Victor tells Adam not to tell his siblings – use this to your advantage.
Jack repeats what I said yesterday – Jabot’s loyal customers will just buy elsewhere. We’ve done amazing business. This is about more than money, Fiona doesn’t want Jabot to implode will she’s put their products on the shelf. Implode? Why? Fiona has a question – what’s going on between your brother and your wife?
Back at the park, Phyllis demands Natalie fix her mistake. It’s not a warning, it’s a mistake, she tells Kevin. Phyllis can put an end to Natalie’s paychecks. She has all the money she needs – no more computers. Phyllis threatens to sue Natalie (who earns a fist bump from Kevin for quoting Spiderman)
Mariah complains to Sharon about Kevin and Natalie. She’s not jealous, she’s hurt. Tell him how you feel, Sharon suggests. Faith comes down to say how sad she is about Sage being in heaven with Christian.
If Adam’s done with Newman, why does he keep running back to visit Victor? (who then mocks the Harvard grad doing a job his ‘wifey-poo’ gave him) Nick’s grieving, Vikki’s flailing – and so, Victor wonders when Adam will make his move.
The only thing we share is children, Billy insists. Nick hopes they can work past the anger and back to each other. Not gonna happen, Billy offers Nick condolences and leaves him to snap at Vikki – he NEEDS to be at work (so he doesn’t think about crawling into a grave beside Sage)
Faith couldn’t cheer her Daddy up. Mariah reassures her that it’s OK for Nick to be sad right now – and sends her up with the ole draw me a picture. She again notes that Sharon’s acting strange. Sharon just doesn’t want to lose anyone else, then looks panicked as Sully cries out.
Adam won’t stab his brother or sister in the back and thinks it insensitive to mention Nick’s grieving. Victor would be there for his son if his family didn’t betray him. You will never outsmart me! NE is our lifeblood. That will never stop. Take over the chair I left behind. Get out and don’t ever try to outsmart me again! Guard!! After Adam leaves, Victor credits Dr Gates for Adam’s visit and will return the favour.
Fiona’s surprised when Jack laughs about Phyllis slapping Billy. Hearing about the visit from Vikki, Jack guarantees that Fiona won’t have to deal with Billy. In that case, Fiona will continue working with Jack/Jabot. But, word of caution – that slap shouldn’t be written off so lightly, Fiona leaves Jack to frown.
Having been urgently summoned to the park, Billy wonders if Phyllis wants to slap the other side of his face.
When Vikki expresses concern about Nick throwing himself into work, he accuses her of doing the same; crunching numbers to avoid what’s going on with Mom, Dad, Billy. Ignoring Vikki’s snarky non-welcome, Adam announces that Dad’s at it again.
Victor has some Fatherly advice – Dr Gates should reach out to HER Father. Someone needs to take the first step. You and I can help each other. We both need to talk to our families.
Phyllis updates Billy that Passkey resulted in a security breach. Talk to Natalie. Billy refuses – Jack earned this particular catastrophe.
At the park cafe, Natalie isn’t worried about Phyllis suing her or about her reputation. Kevin sees Phyllis’ point – Natalie can be beautiful, rich and smart. No sooner has Natalie started kissing Kevin, Mariah arrives to watch in horror.
As Kevin and Natalie gape up at her, Mariah slams her keys on the table – I’m moving out!
Faith really wants to help her Daddy. Extra hugs might help, Sharon says, then pulls a face when Faith asks for her phone to text Summer and Noah. I think Daddy should have extra hugs from all his kids, don’t you?
