Neil’s not defending Hilary, but she’s shown remorse. The decision is up to Jack. Neil wants peace in his family and thinks Hilary can make a significant contribution to the foundation. Getting a text, Neil leaves (with Hilary’s thanks) She then reiterates her apology to Jack – I crossed the line. I thought it was in Ashley’s best interest to step back. You did it for Ashley? Jack scoffs. No, for the project Hilary believes in.
Abby doesn’t want to be home – with her stepson constantly apologizing (for planning the shower that resulted in her losing the baby) It was a horrible accident, Ashley concludes. What if it wasn’t? Abby’s replayed the accident – it’s like something caused her to trip. Like what? Max.
Back at CL’s, Ben stresses the need to move on with their lives; work, school. Does Abby blame me for her baby being gone? Max wonders.
Sage demands nurse Stevens – be honest. Sharon had a miscarriage right before she went into Fairview. Then she had a baby – how is that possible? Christian was getting better – then he died. You were there for that AND when Sully was born. Don’t make me, please! nurse Stevens is on the verge of tears.
On a park bench, Sharon reads the DNA results. OMG! No, no no. She has her head in her hands as Nick strolls by to ask what’s wrong.
Not wanting to interrupt Ashley and Abby, Jack thinks she’d say that life is too short to focus on people’s bad behavior. Asked for his opinion, Neville can’t deny that Hilary’s been valuable to his research. In the spirit of the foundation, Jack reinstates Hilary. Cross me or my family again and there won’t be another chance. Join us for dinner, the Hamilton’s insist.
Abby lists why Max resents her – then suddenly planned this baby shower. Something’s not right. He’s a kid – their emotions change with the wind, Ben says. It’s normal to want to blame someone for losing the baby. Perhaps Abby’s projecting. Sometimes awful things just happen ~hug~
Ben reassures Max (who claims that Abby’s different with him when they’re alone – she won’t look me in the eye) She doesn’t want to be around me. Ben explains that they’re just hurt over losing the baby. This pain won’t go away overnight. Will it ever? Max asks.
All packed and ready to go, Nikki thanks Dylan, gives Faith a hug and coos over Sully. Why was grandma staying here? Faith asks Dylan. She’s sad that grandpa’s in jail, Dylan explains. She and Mommy don’t get along, Faith has observed.
Back at the park, Nick encourages Sharon to confide that she was thinking of his and Sage’s heartbreak. Nick lists all the good things Sharon has in her life – be grateful for what you have.
Sage wants answers. I can’t live with this anymore, nurse Stevens breaks down – your baby’s alive. Christian?! Tell me where he is! Nurse Stevens took him to Fairview, to Sharon. Sully’s MY baby!? Sage is astonished.
In Ashley’s office, Neville updates her on Hilary. She’s too concerned about Abby to worry about Hilary being on the board. Neville praises Ashley – she makes everyone’s life better.
Ben’s surprised when Abby joins him and Max at CL’s. Max feels horrible about the baby. Frustrated, Abby doesn’t blame him for her falling down the stairs – can we just drop it?! After Max runs off, Abby assumes Ben’s now mad at her. He just wants to know what’s going on in her head.
Sharon comes home to find Dylan and Faith playing with Sully. After Faith goes to get ready for her play-date, Sharon’s told that Nikki moved out. Now things can get back to normal. Deciding they need a weekend away NOW, Sharon looks terrified as Dylan hugs her.
Nurse Stevens took care of the baby until Dr Anderson called. Sharon was so heavily drugged she didn’t know she wasn’t pregnant. We put the baby in Sharon’s arms and convinced her she gave birth. Dr Anderson was obsessed with Nick – she wanted to take something away from him. I’m so sorry. No you’re not! Sage barks – Go to hell! I’m going to see my son! Nurse Stevens then tells Sage that Sharon got DNA results today – she knows.
You DO resent Max, Ben realizes. No, but Abby points out that he’s making this horrible situation about HIM. He’s a kid – that’s what they do, Ben thinks they need to keep reassuring Max – not let him be dragged down by our pain. Yeah, we’ll just forget what we’re going through – we wouldn’t want MAX to feel bad about anything, Abby marches out for some air.
Neil and Nikki catch up at the club. He’s sorry to hear she fell off the wagon. Jack helped – she’s happy to have two good friends. And this foundation will help so many people. Everyone deserves the chance to start over. Not everyone, Neil scowls as he sees Devon and Hilary arrive with Jack.
At the office, Dylan asks Nick if he and Sharon can take Faith away for the weekend. Sure, but Nick just saw Sharon – she didn’t mention it. Why the change of plans?
