Walking through the revolving door, Nikki makes a beeline for an uncleared table and takes a sip from a leftover drink.
Back at the office, Vikki relays what Dad told Adam – he thinks he’ll die in prison. That’s what they were talking about when you walked in on them at the hospital. Adam wasn’t up to anything – he seemed worried about Dad and the future of NE. Jack interrupts – he won’t leave until Vikki reconsiders his offer re: Passkey.
Adam’s surprised that Dylan’s brought the family to CL’s. Holding Sully, Adam thanks Sharon for being so great with Sage. Left to their business, Dylan asks what this is about. My Father and his pending death, Adam replies ominously.
Jack and the Newman siblings bicker. Nick stands by Vikki – it’s her call. It’s the wrong call, Jack thought Vikki wanted to end the war. Is this about Billy? Has Victor’s need for revenge rubbed off on Vikki? Look where Victor is because of those traits.
Victor’s summoned Ian to his cell – to ask about the warden. Able to read people, Ian declares the warden a stuffed shirt doing the best he can. He does give a damn about the inmates. Only able to take Ian in small doses, Victor asks him to kindly go find his own cell.
Adam tells Dylan all – Victor doubts he’ll make it out of prison – it’s a one-way trip. Who’s out to get him? Ian Ward (who’ll get someone else to do his dirty work) Dylan relays his conversation with Victor – he’s willing to take matters into his own hands. Adam adds that if Victor’s killed in prison, he wants him to avenge his death. If his Father’s killed, Adam WILL react and that WILL affect his marriage. I’m asking for your help here – please.
As Sage is about to share her exciting work ideas with Chelsea, Nikki comes over dripping with sympathy over the adoption falling through. As she blathers on about basically buying a baby immediately, Sage snaps – this is a child, not an accessory! Nikki’s left stammering apologies as Sage and Chelsea can’t get away fast enough.
Conversation over – Vikki asks Jack to leave. This isn’t the first time he’s been thrown out of this office by someone who refuses to listen to reason. Following Jack out, Nick wishes Jack hadn’t been so hard on Vikki – Billy’s as much to blame. Basically, Jack knows hs brother’s an ass but get Vikki to change her mind, don’t let her turn into Victor. A trial would be bad for everyone; especially Summer and Abby.
Adam keeps getting sucked back into his father’s orbit – Chelsea hates it. Dylan’s a bit weirded out by how honest Adam’s being. Yeah, it feels weird, Adam admits (and he’s not even using the Nikki angle) Not impressed that Paul’s called a few guards, Adam’s relieved when Dylan agrees to do more to protect Victor. He then leaves Sharon to disapprove of Dylan getting involved in Newman family business.
Ian knows Victor’s family isn’t dead to him. He sees fear in Victor – and love for his wife and kids. Ian envies that – I have no family waiting for when I get out. And make no mistake, I AM getting out, Ian vows.
When the Baldwin’s ask Nikki if she’s all right, she whines about Victor and now Sage hating her. I can’t talk about this, excuse me. The Baldwins watch Nikki stagger out.
Sully in her arms, Sharon invites Sage in. Sage appreciates the offer to see Sully any time – seeing his little face help. Wanna hold him? Sharon offers.
Back at the office, Nick thinks Jack’s offer reasonable. I subpoenaed my own daughter. But it’s not just Summer and Abby – we can end this feud now by dropping the lawsuit. Vikki refuses to give the Abbott’s a pass – we need to protect our Father and the company. Nick doesn’t trust Adam. It’s only a matter of time before he makes a play for NE. It’s who he is.
