Billy joins Phyllis to update that he’s got Kevin, Mariah and Natalie under control. Phyllis worries about the witnesses that could blow them out of the water – your brother and my daughter.
Back on the patio, Nick’s sorry – but Phyllis can make this all go away by giving Passkey back to the Newmans. You Mom doesn’t get a free pass – what she did was illegal. Basically, looking the other way is just enabling the behavior to continue.
Hilary’s gone through hell and is willing to do whatever it takes to get her life back. Devon can handle his wife. Lily reminds that Hilary posted Dad’s journal online and tried to take Cane to bed. She changed – she almost died – Devon’s glad to have Hilary back. Neither of us wants to blow it. If everyone at the lab can move on, the Ashby’s should do. After Devon leaves, Lily and Cane are on the same anti-Hilary page.
No need for threats or accusations – Hilary wants to focus on the project. Ashley agrees (and tells Abby not to get caught up in the pettiness) Hilary wants to plan a splashy announcement (featuring herself of course – unless Ashley wants to go public) No one following Hilary into the office, Ben tells Ashley and Abby why he believes Neville’s not there – the good doctor’s in love with his patient.
Jack’s surprised to find Nick behind Victor’s desk. Yes, he’s surprised. Sometimes you have to step up for family. Jack agrees – and believes they can straighten out Passkey between them (since Billy and Vikki can’t) Jack wants to make a deal.
Billy can’t believe Summer would testify against her – and isn’t happy to hear Jack went to settle things at Newman. He’s going to give it back! he storms out.
Abby’s not surprised that Neville would fall for her Mom. We got close – as friends. He makes me laugh. Ben relays asking Neville point blank if he loves Ashley. He’s afraid you don’t feel the same way.
Now at CL’s, Natalie, Mariah and Kevin go over their story (and what to leave out) Kevin’s not sure he can lie to Mike. But we covered up a murder, Mariah reminds. But that’s a story for another day. And here’s snowflake – are you gonna rat us all out? Summer’s confronted.
Jack wants the feud to end. Our families are connected. Jabot will cut NE in on the Passkey profits. But no credit, Nick thinks about it. Billy walks in – to yank whatever offer Jack just put on the table.
Nick thinks Jack’s idea has merit. Passkey’s mine, Billy grunts. Jack reminds that Natalie’s contract is with Jabot, not Billy personally. Nick will take this offer to Vikki. Why isn’t she here? Billy wonders. In a meeting Nick won’t get her from – she’d walk the other way if she saw Billy.
Summer has to tell the truth and won’t have her Grandpa badmouthed. And don’t mention what my Mom went through. I might have to incriminate her. All the more reason to ‘massage’ the facts, Mariah says. Mike arrives – you wanna lie on sworn depositions? That’s an excellent way to land your butts in hot water.
The Ashby’s congratulate Phyllis on Passkey (which they now use on their system) After Phyllis goes to make a call, the subject of Cane’s lack of career challenge is brought up. I’m passionate about you (but looks dissatisfied over Lily’s shoulder)
Abby lists all the things Neville sees in Ashley – he’s just not great with emotions. Let’s do this Ashley – NOW, Hilary leans out. Ashley now in the office, Abby has an idea. Meanwhile, Hilary and Ashley are butting heads when Devon arrives. The man who’s funding this project should have the final say, Hilary’s confident.
Abby’s writing a note quirky enough that Ashley will believe it’s from Neville (to go along with a flower delivery) It’ll end in a kiss, she’s sure. My Mom deserves the right guy. Ben looks pensive.
Devon doesn’t want to hide Neville in the shadows – putting ourselves out there isn’t a priority. Hilary wants to speak to her husband – alone.
