Nikki wants Victor transferred to a less violent prison. Paul doubts Victor will ID whomever attacked him. Nobody likes a snitch. Victor will be safer keeping to himself and not making anymore enemies.
Adam suggests Victor buy himself protection in prison. Ian Ward’s offering. But the reason Victor summoned Adam? if something happens to me, I want you to avenge me.
As Hilary downplays her blackmail, Neville tattles – stepping down was the only way Ashley could guarantee Hilary’s silence. Now that Ashley’s well she plans to have a much stronger presence at the lab. I fought for my life too, Hilary reminds. This is wonderful news – Neville’s cured a second patient. I’ve fast-tracked the FDA testing. What?! Neville balks. Devon takes Hilary into the office – while Abby wants a word alone with her Mother.
At the penthouse, Sharon and Chelsea express sympathy for Sage. It’ll be fine, Sage just wants to focus on work (and gaze at Sully) She appreciates their concern but it’s comforting to have Sully there.
Dylan joins Paul and Nikki at the club – Victor’s given them no reason to move him. All worry about how he’ll handle this. Nikki can’t bear the thought of getting another call that Victor’s been hurt – or worse.
Victor will either be killed – or kill whoever’s after him. So six feet under or life in prison. And if Ian kills Victor. Adam must kill Ian. Walking into his Dad’s room, Nick wonders what Adam’s doing there.
After Ben and Neville head off to GCM, Abby now realizes that Ashley thought she was dying – and what if that’s the reason she ignored her feelings for Ben (and steered him towards her)
Meanwhile, in the office, Devon’s lecturing Hilary (who feels justified in her actions) That woman was dying – I got the FDA to fast track our work. This company nees a devoted leader. No, you did what’s best for you, Devon corrects. Someone has too (with Devon sabotaging his own wife – you’re no better than me so get off your high horse!)
There must be something we can do, Nikki frets. The best Paul can do is ask the guards to keep an eye on Victor. Nikki thanks both him and Dylan – she and the family love Victor (even if he doesn’t believe it)
As Adam hovers, Victor asks Nick what he’s doing here – you’re dead to me. Nick’s concerned – Mom’s worried sick – don’t push her away. Trying to help? Victor doesn’t need help from the people who testified against him.
After Nikki leaves, Paul warns Dylan to stay out of the Newman drama – there’s not much we can do right now.
At GCM, Ben’s impressed with Neville’s solid research and realizes Ashley thought she was dying when they were trapped in the fire. Ben would have stood by Ashley. And you’d have lost your wife, Neville points out.
Nothing was going to happen between Ben and me – you two were meant to be together. Ashley’s just so happy to be part of Abby’s life – with a grandbaby on the way. No, there’s nothing else Ashley’s hiding – I love you ~hug~
Devon calls Hilary on her selfish BS. That’s why he doesn’t want her on the board – he needs to bring her back down to earth. Hilary wants to reach for the stars, not be down on the ground with everyone else. Thank God I’m the one running this project. If you don’t get that, you need to get out of the game, she snarls at Devon.
