Nick and Sage update Sharon that the baby’s tiny but fighting. The adoption is happening. I’m going to be a Mom, Sage announces happily. Sharon can’t quite force a smile.
Dylan’s trying to find out if Patty suffered the psychotic break before or after she killed Dr Anderson. Sorry, the nurse doesn’t know the patient – she doesn’t work at Fairview. Then why were you there the night Sharon gave birth?
The nurse tells Dylan that Dr Anderson called GCM but delivered Sharon’s baby herself. She went to examine the baby afterwards. No, she didn’t know Dr Anderson well. Did she ever mention the name Nick Newman? How is this related to a patient stabbing the doctor? The nurse guesses he’s married to Sharon. You’re lucky to have brought home such a healthy little boy. Some others aren’t so lucky.
After Nick goes to find a pudding cup for Shawn, Sage tells Sharon that they’ve decided to make the adoption open – Shawn will be part of his life. Sharon wonders how it would have been for Cassie is she could have been a second Mom. I’ll be the only one David calls Mom, Sage clarifies.
Having completely won the reporter over, Jack’s now left to have a serious chat with Phyllis. She thought putting him in prison would feel better. But that – Passkey, none of it matters without you. Phyllis will give up on her revenge if that’s what Jack wants.
I knew you couldn’t stay away partner, Billy yanks opens his door – to find Vikki there. She assumed the Abbotts would be here partying. Billy’s glad to see Vikki – he accepts her apology. Oh but Vikki’s not there to apologize.
Nick’s in with Shawn – we’ll make this open adoption work. We all need to agree to do what’s best for David. We can work together to give him a good life. Shawn thinks it a cool idea. You can watch him grow up, Nick doesn’t want Shawn to feel she’s being forced into anything. You guys have been great – I don’t want to hurt you. Forget about us – what do you want? Nick asks.
