Back at the station, Neil knows Devon genuinely loves Hilary – she’ll remember she loves you too. Devon says it’s not about Hilary – the bad blood between him and Neil needs to stop. Paul arrives to usher them into his office. Dr Neville agreed to give up the name of who hired him in exchange for having his research published. Unfortunately, he drugged Dylan and ran. Now what lead do Neil and Devon have? Devon says it’s a dead end and suggests he and Neil go tell Hilary that nothing’s changed. That’s a good idea son, Neil follows Devon out.
At the bottom of the staircase, a reporter accosts Hilary – and is surprised when she says the person who held her also helped her. On the stairs, Joe listens.
As Cane tip toes into Cane’s room, Lily gathers the sheets to hide her nakedness – what are you doing here. Besides looking at my wife in another man’s bed? Cane replies.
What are you doing here? Lily repeats. Just stop – leave – go, please. No, Cane can’t do that – he’s here for evidence. I’m delusional? Paul also thinks Joe’s up to something – he’s obsessed with you – do you understand this? Cane remains calm.
At the bar, Collin tells Joe that ‘Ethan’s’ been a disappointment to the family (while Joe’s been a comfort to Lily) His business proposition is time sensitive. Getting up to leave, Joe doesn’t have time for this.
Camera in her face, Hilary defends Dr Neville. She just wants to get on with her life. No – she doesn’t want to speak about the people who hired Dr Neville (as Neil arrives)
Sage hands over the book – Nick’s turn to read to Faith. Mariah drops by – sorry it’s late – but she has incredible news – Sharon had her baby. Yay – I have a little brother! Faith’s excited (as Sage tries to look happy)
The baby’s healthy and safe, and so beautiful, Mariah forgot to take a picture. Nick agrees to take Faith to Fairview to see her brother. After Sage thanks Mariah for the good news, Nick sends Faith up to bed (leaving Mariah to apologize to them both – but you guys deserved a heads up)
Sharon tells Dylan that she’s chosen a name; someone Dylan lost – Sully. Sullivan McAvoy; Dylan loves it ~hug~
As Neil and Devon stand by, Hilary tells the pesky reporter that she fell off the cliff. Dr Neville saved my life – he should be rewarded not punished. As Devon shows the reporter out, Neil updates Hilary that Devon wouldn’t let him confess. Devon returns to say Neil shouldn’t be punished (but walks off as Hilary thanks him)
At the bar, Collin tells Joe that he’s selling some of CI – he can make Joe a major player. Jill will agree is the offer’s right. Irritated, Joe wants details.
Now in a robe, a frustrated Lily picks up stuff in the suite – oh – nail clippers; how incriminating. Surely there’s something in the closet. These shoes are criminal. Open the safe, Cane requests – if Joe’s innocent, there’s nothing to worry about. OK, but then Lily wants Cane to leave.
Joe can’t rally his investors with zero information – give me a call when you have details. Joe, Joe, Collin’s ignored.
When Lily finds a hoody in Joe’s safe (like the one the thief wore) Cane agrees a lot of people wear them – but why is it locked up? Joe arrives – Lily????
Cane hiding, Lily tells Joe that she was looking for a blanket. And when Joe gets her one, she hustles Cane out (with the bagged hoody) She suddenly decides she needs to get home to the twins. Joe asks for (and gets) a kiss.
Downstairs, Cane shows Collin the hoody – I have everything I need. Left to order a drink at the bar, Collin puts it on his son’s tab. That he’ll pay for with the money he stole from me? Devon snarls. What’s it like to eat crow? Collin sneers at him.
In Hilary’s suite, Neil gushes about how proud he is of Devon (for not pressing charges) Hilary hopes what she said to the reporter helped – and that the police won’t pursue the case. Both look awkward.
