Ashley playing bobble head in the background, Jack and Billy make amends. Billy understands why Ashley can’t forgive Adam, but if he dies, Chelsea and Connor suffer. Jack’s confident Adam will pull through – he has faith in Dr Rayburn. As all file out, Ashley stays to inspect the champagne Abby left behind. Emptying the glass out, she’s holding a diamond ring.
Still at GCM, Paul gets a call from Chris – I’ll get a car out there asap. Abby tells Ben he’s amazing – saving lives. Dinner and champagne can wait, she says – all that matters right now is Adam.
Still holding Adam’s hand, Chelsea pleads with him to come back to her and Connor – so we can live our dream. Ben and the nurses come in to move Adam to an operating room.
As Connor plays with his toys, Victor hopes the Lord will save his Daddy. I pray to the good Lord – to bring back your Daddy and make sure he doesn’t go to prison for a long time – that he comes back to be with you.
What’s happening? What’s wrong with my baby!? Stand back, Sage and Nick are instructed by the nurse – he’s stopped breathing. Nick and Sage look horrified.

Next: Ashley confronts Ben – You know what, I’m sorry, but not long ago you told me you couldn’t get me off your mind. That’s a little disturbing … Go ahead. Get it out, Jack says. I want to thank you, Victor replies (as Nikki and Phyllis watch on) … Dammit! Mariah! Kevin and Paul find her unconscious on the floor at Underground.
My Thoughts: Why does Paul obey Victor’s every orders (orders shouted at him in front of several people) How can anyone respect such a subservient police chief? How could anyone NOT think that Paul’s also in Victor’s pocket? Once in a while I wish the show was R-rated – so Billy could tell Victor once for all to shut the f*** up. Why does Paul have to conduct his questioning from front of everyone? He could easily just bo back to the station to have a look at the parks surveillance cameras (which would clearly show Billy was there, not behind the wheel of the car that hit Adam) …. Never mind the cosmic justice, the karma – how about the sheer coincidence that Adam’s being examined in the same room Delia probably died in. In fact, pretty well everything takes place in the first room to the left at GCM. The second most unlucky place in town seems to be Rexx Rugs (where Chris was also mowed down) See? Now this is why prisoners are transported in underground tunnels, not paraded down the courthouse steps. What happened to all the media making pests of themselves outside the courtroom? Shouldn’t Paul be asking if anyone got video or photos that might show the car’s driver and/or license plate? … Abby notes that ‘Chelsea must be devastated’. But if she was any kind of friend (or niece to Billy, or sister to Vikki) she’d be at the courthouse, not having a ‘same ole, same ole’ drink with Ben at the club. And are we really expected to believe that Ben ran out leaving a diamond ring in a champagne flute? Plus, as a doctor, he should know a thing or two about choke hazards … Half a billion in the bank and Nick’s buying assembled furniture? It doesn’t have to be custom made, but it doesn’t have to come flat packed from IKEA either.. Why on earth would Jack tell Billy that Chelsea’s about to lose the man she loves? Ben hasn’t told anyone that Adam might not make it … Ben orders an x-ray, CT scan and for Adam to be cut out of his clothes – STAT. Yet, for some odd reason, not one of these orders was followed…. Victor must be joking when telling Paul ‘I buried my son once, I won’t do it again’. You didn’t bury Adam – you shoved what you thought was his casket out of an airplane!
