Nick sends Faith upstairs to his toolbox. We need to talk about what just happened, Sharon insists. Nick doesn’t think anything happened, and further disappoints Sharon by saying she should be doing this with Dylan.
Isn’t this nice, Mariah tells Dylan and Sage that Nick and Sharon could use some help putting the crib together.
Ben thanks Ashley for giving him a second chance. Thanks for listening, Ben goes to work on a patient (Ashley peeks in at the young man with PTSD)
Billy knows Victor’s sending Abby and Vikki out of harms way – and actually agrees. After Abby leaves, Vikki bristles at Victor’s dismissive attitude. After she leaves, Billy leaves a file on bio fuels. Victor knows what Billy Boy’s doing and doesn’t like it one bit.
Form his hospital bed, James grabs Ben’s arms – he should have done more for his men. He came home. Ben tells him it’s not his fault he lived – make the most of your life – for them. James nods and rests. In the hallway, Abby comes along to say good bye – don’t worry, she’s safe. Ben hasn’t heard about Marco – he’s treating a vet. Abby will call Ben tonight – or you could call me ~kiss~ Ben’s left unaffected.
Victor orders Billy not to walk in that door unannounced. He doesn’t like him getting close to Vikki – he won’t let her be dragged down into his dysfunction. Get out! The more you claim to love someone, the more you make them bend to your will, Billy snarls – she doesn’t need you. Ashley arrives as he exits.
Nick is Sharon’s family – but they’re both creating new families. Sharon guesses so (and teases him for leaving) As they hug, Sage and Dylan burst in.
Sharon pales as Sage kisses Nick. She wanted the crib to be a surprise. When Faith comes down, Nick thinks they should leave them to it. Dylan invites butterfingers to stick around. OK – the race is on.
Back at CL’s, Paul tells Kevin to stop making Harding the bad guy – help him. And here’s Mariah, who’s also been ‘dragged’ into this. Kevin thinks Paul’s #1 Detective is up to something.
In Paul’s office, Harding assures Chris that she’s keeping Paul out of the loop – but will run things the way he would.
In Milwaukee, Abby and Vikki are bickering over who’s in charge – but are on the same page when it comes to Newman Abbott. Abby then asks what’s going on with Billy. You’re totally back together! We’re taking things slow, Vikki says, She worries Billy will revert to his dark side – his need to hate may be stronger than his love for me.
Crib assembled, Sharon and Sage run off to admire the mobile. Dylan and Nick are left to agree they’re all family now.
Sage confides to Sharon that she was crying when Dylan found her in the park. Sharon tells Sage to cherish these times.
Paul won’t question Harding’s character because of Kevin’s gut instinct. He’s doing his job! Chris arrives – hoping they aren’t discussing the manhunt. The Williams leave Kevin to assure Mariah that he’ll get proof.
Abby envies Vikki – she and Billy are made for each other. What about Ben? He was all about keeping Abby safe, now he’s about his patients (and she’s climbing up the corporate ladder) How can one be a high powered Newman and find true love??
The heart wants what the heart wants – and Ashley doesn’t appreciate Victor dissing her brother Billy. Victor asks about the Paragon Project; Jack’s not behind it – it’s YOU.
At Vikki’s (for his phone) Billy flashes back to making love, then calls Vikki. Answer it, Abby insists. He’s thinking of her. Yeah, me too. Abby watches with envy.
A nurse shows Ben what she found in Jame’s pocket – a purple heart. He’s a marine who saw a lot of action. Ben pins the purple heart to Jame’s pillow. The monitors then go off – cardiac arrest! Ben issues orders and starts chest compressions. Come on! We’re losing him! Come on marine!
